Pullman High School
#1 Best Public High Schools in Whitman County
- Pullman Public Schools, WA
- Rating 3.75 out of 5 163 reviews
Senior: My experience with Pullman High School has been excellent. The facility is essentially brand-new, having finished its reconstruction three years ago. PHS is strong academically, offering many challenging AP-level courses and adding more each year. If an advanced class isn't offered at the high school, students often make use of the online BYU class system (unfortunately, flawed and expensive) or Running Start through our local Washington State University. As for the school's proximity to WSU, the school is consequently very diverse and well supplied with field trips and internship opportunities. Because the permanent population is more involved in education, PHS is generously funded and has a top-notch performing arts program. The teachers are engaging and friendly people who go out of their way to encourage extra-curricular involvement in the myriad of school clubs and sports, which consistently make it to regional and state-level competitions if they're competitive in nature.

Colfax High School
#3 Best Public High Schools in Whitman County
- Colfax School District, WA
- Rating 3.67 out of 5 46 reviews
Senior: I love the small town feel of Colfax high school, how you know everyone and everyone knows you. The teachers are all super nice and dedicated. Everyone at Colfax high school is committed 110% and it’s awesome! Some things that I wish I could change would be I wish we had better food, and I also wish we offered more classes. I know we used to offer psychology and sociology classes and I really wish we still did, I would definitely take them. Another thing I wish my school had was open campus, so we could go home to eat lunch, or go to a fast food place for our 30 minute lunch, or even if the seniors just got a designated spot to eat lunch like the seniors had in the past. Overall these changes would be nice, but even without them Colfax High school is a great school and I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else!

Oakesdale High School
#4 Best Public High Schools in Whitman County
- Oakesdale School District, WA
- Rating 4.17 out of 5 12 reviews
Senior: Oakesdale High School is a wonderful school that is accepting to all those who attend. I first moved to Oakesdale in 2016, coming from a bigger college town. When I first got to Oakesdale, I was hesitant at first because the town was much smaller, but I soon realized that with a smaller town came a tighter knit community that was always there for each other. The students are great, the staff is great, and we do well academically, athletically, and in other areas of extracurriculars.

High School Senior: I would say its great becuase the teachers are freindly and will work one on one with you if you need help after school. The reason i did four stars is becuase not all the staff is open minded to your opino when it comes to an opinionated qestion. Ever since i came to this school the teachers and over all staff have treatedd me well and so have my fellow cllassmates. In conclusion i would highly recomend rosalia school for anybody willing to learn becuase if you go here youll get a better understanding of what your being tuaght by your teacher.

Palouse High School
- Palouse School District, WA
- Rating 4.6 out of 5 5 reviews
Junior: excellent small school for this area. The teachers are caring, want everyone to exceed and will take extra time to help any students that need it. There are a lot of running start options here as well, there are several classes offered through eastern washing university that will help students get a jump start on college. The board is very active and constantly improves student experiences and grounds. The student body is very accepting and offers most sports and activities for any newcomers to enjoy. Overall the school is an excellent choice for anyone preparing for higher education.

St. John & Endicott High School
- St. John School District, WA
- Rating 3.94 out of 5 17 reviews
Sophomore: St. John High School is an above average high school for a small town. There is a variety of clubs offered including jazz band, knowledge bowl, FBLA, FFA, and chess club. Most of the teachers in St. John have been teaching there for many years and therefore are well known with the families that have lived in St. John for generations. Ms. Brown is an amazing school counselor and all of the teachers are driven to make sure that the students have an opportunity to succeed. In track nearly all of participants qualified to compete in state.

Niche User: I rate my experience with the athletic department as very good, particularly with the coaches...not so much with the office. Anything that falls on the office for athletics is often pushed off to last minute it seems. However, the staff for the most part are amazing and super nice!

Alum: Go Timberwolves! I joined this school in 7th grade and watched it go through many changes, including the transition from its mascot, the Nighthawk, to the one my class voted for, the Timberwolf. I was the first announcer for the new football, volleyball, and basketball teams. Overall, my experiences in Tekoa made my childhood one full of crazy life lessons and I look back with great nostalgia. Graduated Class of 17'

LaCrosse High School
- School District of La Crosse, WA
- Rating 4.25 out of 5 4 reviews
Senior: I love going to school here, it’s a small school. Because it’s a s school, I get more one-on-one time with each teacher, which helps me to better understand any material I may be struggling with. The only thing I would like to see change is school spirit. We lack it greatly and I’m doing everything I can to be able to get people excited to come to school.
