Senior: It’s not a horrible school, it’s very clean, it’s very nice looking, but the students haven’t all grown up together so there’s a huge gap between each student. There’s an obvious line between the students who are “popular” and the ones who aren’t, and that’s mostly based on their housing/parents income. The teachers will all talk to students, even the ones they don’t know, but some students will talk to the teacher longer than others because they have known each other longer, which makes asking the teacher anything nearly impossible.

Senior: The teachers all work hard to make sure everyone is learning. The sports are awesome. However, because it is small, unless your sport has one of the main Manton families in it, you receive barely any funding. The choir has been around for 3 years and received a division 1 (superior) rating at states and did not even get a page in the yearbook. The Band has an all 1’s year in both concert and marching, but still receives almost no school funding. Because this is Manton though, our community has been supportive towards all programs, and that has really helped the underfunded. The teachers are good at educating, but advanced classes are almost never offered, so you have to be willing to fight to get the classes you need for college. All in all I would say that Manton is a great school for those looking to graduate, but has far to go before it reaches the point of preparing students for too academic colleges.

Mesick Consolidated Junior/Senior High School

Senior: I enjoyed the school environment at Mesick, you can tell that the teachers (most of them) really care about their students and want them to better themselves. The academics were pretty easy to understand as long as you put in the work and most teachers know what methods to use to engage their students. However, the school is falling apart and needs some major upgrades. The parents aren't very involved within the school and that makes for unmotivated and frankly rude students who disrespect the teachers.
