Shenendehowa High School
#2 Best Public High Schools in Saratoga County
- Shenendehowa Central School District, NY
- Rating 3.6 out of 5 269 reviews
Senior: Shenendehowa High School has a great school environment! Faculty is generally good and extremely helpful. Teachers at Shenendehowa are always looking for ways to help students learn and succeed individually. That means extra help hours, personalized lessons or offering tutoring. I love the school spirit everyone shares at Shen. Students and staff always sport their merchandise and sports apparel which really brings everyone together. Shen offers tons of clubs and activities where students can connect with those who share the same interests. One of the coolest aspects of Shen in my opinion is the dark room. We are one of the last schools with a dark room used for black and white film photography. I had such an amazing experience in that class that I would have never gotten the chance to have if I didn't go to Shen. It's a great school with a lot of great opportunities!

Schuylerville Junior/Senior High School
#5 Best Public High Schools in Saratoga County
- Schuylerville Central School District, NY
- Rating 3.84 out of 5 69 reviews
Senior: Schuylerville High School is a very inclusive campus. There's a lack of discrimination among the students and staff, and you are always welcome to speak loud and proud. All students are encouraged to participate in sports, clubs, and even tutoring opportunities. However, I've noticed in the past few years that student involvement in school activities has declined. Although many of the kids willingly participate in various clubs, those who don't lack recognition in the school system. To further encourage kids to get involved with various programs, and to stand out of the crowd, perhaps extra credit could be given every time a student actively involves themselves in a new club or sport. This practice could also help high school kids be pushed out of their comfort zone, which in turn can boost their confidence.

Stillwater Middle/High School
#6 Best Public High Schools in Saratoga County
- Stillwater Central School District, NY
- Rating 3.21 out of 5 39 reviews
Senior: The teachers at Stillwater are willing and able to provide guidance to each student and are there to help. Everyone is kind, and the majority of the students are accepting of each other. There is a divide between the arts and sports, as there is a definite focus on sports teams which sometimes leaves students in arts programs behind. Apart from this, the school is generally safe and conscious of student satisfaction.

South Glens Falls Senior High School
#7 Best Public High Schools in Saratoga County
- South Glens Falls Central School District, NY
- Rating 3.46 out of 5 125 reviews
Senior: My experience at South High has been very positive. Along with a strong focus on academics, character and preparation for the future are also regarded highly. Many programs are offered in sports and the arts to help students further their skills and abilities and take part in something they are passionate about. Teachers at South High care deeply about their students and do all they can to help them become the best they can be. If a student is struggling with something, the teachers will try to help and let them know that they always have someone to turn to if they are struggling or just need someone to talk to. The South High Marathon Dance is a dance held every year that raises money for people in need in the community. Students dance for 28 hours in support of the recipients and the community comes together to support this special cause. These are some of the reasons why South Glens Falls High School is a highly commendable school and I would recommend it to anyone.

Waterford Junior/Senior High School
- Waterford-Halfmoon Union Free School District, NY
- Rating 3.57 out of 5 23 reviews
Alum: I have been at Waterford from kindergarten all the way to my senior year, and throughout my entire time there, not once did I feel as if I was out of place. It truly does feel like a well loved community where even when you leave the school, you never will leave the community. Although, the class populations are small, the academics are still a huge part of school life. With the small population you have the ability to get to know the faculty and attendees better, and you begin to form personal connections with others that never diminish when you go off to college.

Galway Junior/Senior High School
- Galway Central School District, NY
- Rating 3.42 out of 5 45 reviews
Sophomore: I have been a part of the Galway School District since first grade. The tight knit community has really grown together over the past decade. I remember when we were going through terrible budget cuts back in 2012 a lot of programs had to be cancelled, and we unfortunately were ranked in the bottom third of schools in the area However, over the years we have pulled ourselves up, and are now ranked 16th out of around 80 schools. Many of the programs have been restored and their are many fun opportunities. High level honors and AP courses are offered as well. The teachers are very kind and genuinely care about all of their students. The school spirit is ever present in the very supportive administration. The only thing that I have a problem with are the mass amount of students who vape on school property, but the administration is taking great strides trying to prevent this. Overall Galway Jr/Sr High is an awesome school to be a part of and fosters a very supportive school environment.
