Le Mars High School
#1 Best Public High Schools in Plymouth County
- Le Mars Community School District, IA
- Rating 3.88 out of 5 82 reviews
Alum: Le Mars was supportive and offered lots of opportunities, but I felt that it wasn't very strong in the science department. The community around the school is strong, though. I think the teachers are dedicated and helpful for the most part. I wish the school offered more diverse language classes, though I understand that Spanish is the most practical language to learn. I also wish there were more classes offered in general. The middle school has an advanced English program, but the high school doesn't, so all the advanced kids get dropped back into the regular English class and have to review things they have already learned. I wish students had more say in the classes they get to take so they could mold their schedule to their interests (within reason, core classes are important).

Junior: Hinton High School provided me with a great learning environment and has given me various opportunities allowing me to work to the best of my abilities as I have grown throughout my life. I recommend Hinton to anyone without a doubt. The staff have helped to prepare me for what my future life will be like, and have set me and my classmates on the path of success. I first came to Hinton in Kindergarten and now being a Junior in highschool, i'm glad my parents chose to send me here.

Kingsley-Pierson High School
#3 Best Public High Schools in Plymouth County
- Kingsley-Pierson Community School District, IA
- Rating 3.43 out of 5 40 reviews
Junior: I really really liked how everyone knew who everyone was. I also liked the diversity in the classes. It is also a good experience because you are able to connect more with the teachers and students.
What I did not like was that yes everyone knew who everyone was but sometimes it also made it easier to mess with each other or to get everyone into trouble. I also did not like how some people react towards a different person there. Sure, there are the lovely people but then you also have a few that are a little to much with their country ness.

Akron Westfield Senior High School

Senior: Akron-Westfield is a school that you are allowed to be yourself! The teachers here are one of a kind in my books, if you are in need of help on any subject in school a teacher that may not even be teaching that particular class will help you. The community of our school and the atmosphere of our school is phenomenal!
