Aledo High School
#1 Best Public High Schools in Parker County
- Aledo Independent School District, TX
Alum: I once saw a map of Fort Worth in a book called "Judgemental Maps" and on the map Aledo was labeled "Parents who think their kids are too good for Fort Worth schools". I laughed at how accurate this was! I was my third high School I went to and the only word to describe this school is extravagant! The academics were generally very productive and enjoyable as well as the teachers. The athletics were top ranking in almost every sport although I never involved myself with any because they did not offer my sport (Lacrosse). My only complaint is the diversity, generally all of the students were well educated, white upper middle class who were very sheltered. Although even with this fact, I found it very easy to make friends and everyone was very accepting!

Brock High School
#2 Best Public High Schools in Parker County
- Brock Independent School District, TX
Senior: I love it, this is my senior year and I couldn't picture myself anywhere else. Since I have been here, we have gone to state 12 times in any sport. We have won the Lonestar Cup (the best school in each classification in academics and athletics) the past two years and look to follow with another one this year. Academically, the debate team, math team, and one act play team have gone to state all four years I have attended. Brock is a great environment and I would recommend to everyone!

Peaster High School
#3 Best Public High Schools in Parker County
- Peaster Independent School District, TX
Senior: I like Peaster High School because it is a small school, and the community is close. Teachers not only help prepare kids for college, but they help kids prepare for life on their own. Many teachers offer assistance in financial decisions and encourage students to budget to prepare for college life. teachers, and many teacher help students get caught up when they miss class. As a student, I can attest that Peaster has strong academics. However, since it is a small school, some AP classes are not offered. I would like to see Peaster get more AP or honor programs. I believe Peaster High School gives students the opportunity to get ahead in college because of the dual credit classes they offer. For the most part, Peaster High School has given me the opportunity to apply myself to work hard, and morally do good.

Parent: Our son is currently in the 2nd grade. He has been at the school for two years, and it has been a wonderful experience. The enthusiasm of the teachers, who are truly experts in the subjects they teach, is infectious. They consistently set high standards for all students at every stage of their academic career. This is a school that prioritizes academics and the students themselves; it is targeted to students with intellectual curiosity and a strong work ethic. We are very happy here!

Springtown High School
- Springtown Independent School District, TX
Senior: Springtown High School is a great small town school. The teachers are great and devoted to helping their students succeed. The school helps prepare each student for college very well. Each student is treated fairly and equally. The school itself, however, lacks the resources to properly educate all students. They lack the technology to help those who need it most.
