Senior: After switching from my old elementary school to this school, I found it to be a drastic change. There are different buildings for each category of students (elementary, middle, high) and they're not all that big, however, the intelligence and diversity of this school make up for it! I've made friends of many different cultures and I've never met so many people who are of the same culture as me. I take college classes in addition to my high school classes, and I'm even graduating a year early to get a headstart on college. This school is primarily A student, and 90% of the teachers actually care about their students and prioritize their education. I love my teachers, I could never ask for better ones. Overall, this school is very hard-working, diverse, and the extracurriculars focus on STEM-related activities, but they have cultural and even athletic clubs, too!... Read 179 reviews

Alum: Historic layout, familial ties, incredible spirit for all the sports and 100% inclusion for all people. That’s the best way to describe the feel of the school. So many programs available it’s impossible to take part in each one. I chose guitar and learned to read music and play at a high level. My cousin chose engineering and a my sister culinary arts. I’d say we have the bases covered! My mom graduated 29 years ago from my school and had her name and a brief quote carved into fresh concrete. She passed away last year so everyday I get to walk by her “square” and see her name in her handwriting. Winter Park High School loves to stay connected to its past and it alumni and you can tell just by listening to the passion about the school in my family’s and friend’s voices. It’s easy to get nostalgic even now. I haven’t left yet for college but ache for lunchtime outside under the trees with my cousin, sister and friends. Alum: As a graduated student of Windermere High School, I can say my experience was great! The school has quite a lot of events and clubs to attend to, such as dances and festivals. The teachers and faculty members are mostly helpful when assistance is needed and communication is efficient. The environment is overall friendly and welcoming, and people are willing to lend a hand. While the place isn't perfect and has its flaws, it's a school I can definitely look back on fondly. Senior: Amazing school with a lot of opportunities! Tons of clubs and classes. The staff is always helpful and encouraging. If your open to try new thing there is so many new classes. The college and career center will make sure that you are on the right track and help guide you in the right direction. Other than just academics they have amazing team sports from football, theater, lacrosse and from what I hear an amazing marching band program. The before school and after school tutoring is an amazing opportunity to help when needed or catch up on any work you may have missed. Senior: I spent all four years of high school at Olympia and I enjoyed it a lot. The biggest reason is the number of opportunities that are given at the school. There are several AP classes, a few dual enrollment options, trade classes such as culinary and agriculture, many sports, even more clubs, and fantastic programs. The education there is also pretty good, and compared to other schools there is a lot on campus that's conducive to a successful learning environment. It is in a good area and there is a good amount of safeguards to make people feel secure. The campus itself looks good and it is fairly easy to navigate. Most of the teachers and staff there are nice and do their jobs. They make it feel like they want you to succeed, and they have a lot of support for students there. There are a lot of events done with clubs, sports, and the arts that help to give every student a chance to find their place in the school. Junior: West Orange High School is overall an AMAZING school. I would rate it a 4.8/5. The classes have a great variety, especially for the non-core classes. There’s photography, speech and debate, and even a agriculture class. Many things to choose from. This also goes for clubs! There’s beta club, bowling club, and a mental health awareness club (great for this generation that really wishes to make a change.) Id even argue that there’s too many to choose from. The administration and faculty are always friendly, guiding, and supportive of you. You get many opportunities and one feels great to attend there! Senior: I had a fantastic experience during my four years at Lake Nona High School. I could participate in many clubs, engage myself in high-level courses, play competitive team sports, and partake in fun school activities. Along with my high school workload, I was able to take dual enrollment courses at the University of Florida and Valencia College. Most of my professors and teachers were able to provide me with an immense amount of support and resources in order to succeed. Aside from classes, I joined multiple extracurriculars such as being the President of the Psychology Honor Society, President of the Always Wear Your Seatbelt Club, secretary of the National Honor Society, etc. In addition, I played on the JV/Varsity volleyball team for three years. Senior: This school is like no other! A small community full of wonderful students and amazing staff! Great administrations staff and cleaning staff! This school is one of the best I have seen academically. However, our athletic department is growing as well and making its way through the rankings on all sports! Our school was named the best charter school in Florida and we have received A+ school certification 3 years in a row, with various Project Lead The Way programs and National Honor Society students. The school offers lots of Advance Placement courses such as AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Calculus AB & BC, AP Psychology, AP World History, AP Human Geography, and those are a few of them. Junior: This school is good as it provides loads of opportunities. Agriscience, veterinary and culinary are allowed to be taken here and they will give you a certification which can be used in the career field. The clubs here also provide opportunity to get volunteer hours while doing fun activities and helping the community in process. The teachers here are also excellent as they try their hardest to help students succeed and pass, so far I have never heard anything negative about teachers and they are all kind and helpful. The school also has AP classe which you can take to get ahead and practice for college. Also as well as IB (International Baccalaureate) which is also like AP but required to be taken all 4 years and its exactly like college classes. The school number 1 priority is safety, they help protect children the hardest they can. The food can be better but it is still edible and not that bad. Senior: I like Freedom High School because the school offers over 50 different clubs so there is something for everyone to try. Every year, the school hosts a multicultural night after school to help the clubs raise money. Each club gets to pick a country and sell food corresponding to what country you choose. Students, Parents and faculty members can try food from all over the world. This is a great way to express diversity and different cultures. Along with a lot of clubs, the school offers a wide range of sports that boys and girls can try out for every year. We have sports like basketball and baseball but, we also have a bowling team and wrestling. During football games, the bands play loud and cheerleaders are doing their routine yelling “go team” to hype up the team and get the people in the bleachers on their feet cheering for the team. Alum: Overall, the thing I enjoyed the most about this school was the arts, science and math programs. There are lots of clubs, so BE INVOLVED! Majority of teachers were good if you were involved in their lessons, and the art programs helped progress my skills more than i've ever been enabled before. However, the school is terribly crowded constantly to the point of being late to class because of the crowds of people on the staircases. As well as during lunches, a lot of the kids had to sit on the concrete outside (or stand), to eat their lunches. It wasn't as bad when they decided to open up a second lunchroom during my junior year. If you are looking to come to this school, I honestly recommend it. The administration isn't the best... but the teachers felt like friends, the memories you are going to create with football games and school spirit is amazing, and it's as close to a movie as you're probably going to get. Sophomore: Edgewater has many programs and opportunities that will help students succeed. I am in the CFE magnet. It is for students who wish to become future teachers. I am also dual enrolled with Valencia. The plan is to graduate with my A.A when I graduate high school. There also is a magnet for engineers. It includes all fields in engineering. Then there is an OTC program, where students can directly take courses for their desired career. As well, there are programs that come to Edgewater like Elevation Scholars, and Upward Bound. These programs help students get prepared for the future, and college. Beside all of these options, Edgewater has an amazing support system. All ranging from admin, to staff, to counselors, to teachers, and even students. I walked into Edgewater knowing no one. This is my second year, and some of my closest friends who are seniors are leaving. They guided me into the right path. I would love to see more clubs and extra curricular activities. Sophomore: Cypress creek has been overall a good experience it has great administrators and educators that are very accepting, and hardworking. My school has amazing variety of people from all over the world that have opened my eyes to amazing friendships that have taught me so much of different cultures and upbringings. Senior: I transferred to Oak Ridge High my Sophomore year. What attracted me to the school was the Junior Achievement Academy. The Academy gave me so many opportunities and resources. Senior: Beta is an magnificent school. This school is for teen moms 6-12 grades. The staff and teachers really care for you and want you to see do outstanding in life and achieve your goals. They help out with a lot of things! They help you financial needs for you and your baby. My experience at Beta so far has been awesome, I can look up to the staff as my best friends. They provide help with free daycare so you can finish school and also be with your baby at the same time. I have a great time at this school, everyone gets along great and everybody understands each other so well. Senior: Being that i switched schools my senior year, my experience at Wekiva has been great. The teachers are very helpful, there are lots of resources for college and future lifestyles for after high school (which is very appreciated considering that lots of students don’t know what to do after highschool). Administration wants students to succeed and they always make sure each and every student make it to class on time. Although a lot of students don’t participate in school sports or activities as other schools the coaches and staff still make everything worth while. Once again, the teachers always will find a way to make you understand the course. If the chapter is hard or difficult they take time to make sure everyone in the class understands making the specific course much more valuable because in this society now, many teachers don’t even take the time to actually teach a course and would rather rush through it.
