Senior: I have been a student at Basehor-Linwood High School for four years, and I have had a very great experience in my time there. I participate in a variety of activities, in which all excel at a high level. The teachers at BLHS are all very willing to work with students and help them succeed. My math teacher, for example, gets to school early, stays late, and makes herself available during our advisory to ensure that we are grasping concepts in her class. I have helped start two successful businesses in high school, and I will cherish those experiences forever. By doing real-world hands-on learning I have gained amazing skills that will serve me well in my college and professional career.

Junior: I really enjoy the friendly and welcoming atmosphere that the school brings. Not only are there various high-quality opportunities to learn in topics such as robotics, broadcasting, culinary arts, theater, debate and more; there's also a wonderful teacher staff that makes school enjoyable. There's something for everyone and the recent Corona virus outbreak has shown most people just how much we appreciate the school. Starting Monday, all of the Kansas schools that were on Spring break will not be able to return to school. Instead students will stay home and review curriculum online. Having the opportunity to do our schoolwork online with our district-provided iPads demonstrates how adaptable our school is to crises.

Junior: I’m military so I’ve learned moved quite a bit but I have definitely met some of the best teachers and people at this school. It’s been very easy to make friends and become familiar with this school since I’ve lived here. I love the block schedule we have here because it makes it a lot easier to get work done. I would say the people at this school are very easy to get along with and overall I really enjoy being here. We also have an AMAZING theatre program and I love watching them perform. Obviously every school has its pros and cons but having gone to so many schools, this one is probably the best i’ve attended!

Senior: My experience at Tonganoxie High School has been outstanding because of the amazing staff. I have never felt like a teacher did not care about his or her students. Despite some students' misbehavior, teachers still treat everyone with kindness and respect. Teachers always push students to be their best. As a student, I have always felt like the staff at THS has my best interests at heart. Knowing I have this support system that believes in me has been a vital part of my academic success. Without these amazing staff members, I wouldn't have the drive for success that I do today.

Pleasant Ridge High School

Senior: Pleasant Ridge High School is a very good school all together but just like any high school there are things that can change. For example the way our teachers teach are not exactly good ways. Some teachers want to be like college professors so that is how they teach their class, but other teachers slack on the important stuff we are suppose to know and go into depth on the topics that aren't as important. Now our school isn't all that bad. We just got new water fountains (which we have been needing for a while) that can also fill up your water bottle. We also got a lot of new equipment and a brand new make over for our weight room! Altogether our school is excellent and they gave us just as much opportunities just like the other bigger schools in our area.
