Crofton High School
#1 Best Public High Schools in Knox County
- Crofton Community Schools, NE
- Rating 4.83 out of 5 6 reviews
Senior: My experience at Crofton High School has been very rewarding. In my opinion, it is the best public high school in Nebraska. Our standards are so high that every student is able to excel with more knowledge than the common teenager. Our teachers know how to push us and help us to where we need to be and even further. They want us to succeed and are close to each student. Crofton is supportive of the athletics and the activities. I am on the cross-country team and the whole football team will go to our home meet every year. It is a small school, so everyone knows each other (seniors know all freshman) and everyone is friendly. Crofton is an appropriate blue ribbon school swelling with excellent students and staff.

Creighton Community High School
#2 Best Public High Schools in Knox County
- Creighton Community Public Schools, NE
- Rating 4.17 out of 5 12 reviews
Senior: My experiences at Creighton Community High School have been fairly nice. It is a small school, so everyone knows each other by name, and teachers take interest in each student as an individual. But, I find that sometimes teachers become too friendly with students, to the point that the roles of student/teacher and respect are sometimes forgotten.

Bloomfield Junior/Senior High School
#3 Best Public High Schools in Knox County
- Bloomfield Community Schools, NE
- Rating 3.36 out of 5 22 reviews
Freshman: I like how that you can have a great one-on-one experience with your teachers. You can have a great relationship with each and everyone of them. The things I would like to see change is how they are very strict with certain policies. It is good to have boundaries but I feel that they can get out of hand sometimes.

Wausa High School
- Wausa Public Schools, NE
- Rating 4.04 out of 5 25 reviews
Senior: I have gone to Wausa Public Schools since Preschool and have had a great experience with the teachers, facility, and fellow peers of the school. The teachers are very caring and are always there to help when you need a helping hand. The school has many things to offer to students such as clubs, athletics, and other extracurricular activities, but many of these activities are based on popularity and favoritism.

Verdigre High School
- Nebraska Unified District No. 1, NE
- Rating 2.94 out of 5 16 reviews
Senior: Verdigre Public Schools offers a positive learning environment and newly added facilities with exceptional student resources. It is situated within a quaint, rural community in northeast Nebraska. The teachers and staff within the school system genuinely care about each individual and their success. The small student enrollment of the school allows for students to be very active in extracurriculars. I've been lucky enough to create many positive relationships through those extracurricular opportunities. I know that Verdigre High School has offered me an excellent education and many hands-on experiences that will be of use as I continue on to college to pursue my career of choice.
