Senior: While ROWVA is very small, it has some of the nicest staff and students that you will come across. ROWVA staff always puts the student first and cares enough to connect with every student. Students are offered a variety of extra curriculars and clubs, as well as numerous classes to take.

Junior: I enjoyed it. I was on the tennis team and I joined my freshman year never playing tennis before and I got a lot better. I enjoyed taking AP classes I just wish there would have been more choices. I didn’t like the 4 block schedule though! I was in marching band and it was very fun but also a lot of commitment. The teachers that I had were absolutely amazing. Especially AP Calc and AP Physics.

Senior: Knoxville is a small community and the school district overall is pretty good. The teachers are nice and friendly. The class sizes aren’t to big, they’re the right size where the teacher can help everyone with their individual needs. Because the community is small everyone knows everyone in the school. The overall high school experience here is fun!

Abingdon-Avon High School
- Abingson-Avon CUSD No. 276, IL
- 10 reviews
Senior: The best aspect of Abingdon-Avon High School is the communal environment. What I mean by this is most teachers, staff, and faculty want their students to learn and be successful in life. They are all encouraging and accommodate each particular student in a way that best promotes their learning. They expect the best from their students and demand hard work to earn a grade that reflects such an embodiment of their achievement.

Alum: It's a small school with the all of the usual advantages and disadvantages of small schools. There wasn't AP classes or anything similar when I went. It's a basic education, not really college prep, you took the classes given to you . But the building is small, class sizes very small, it supports a strong sense of community (which is good if you fit it, bad if you don't). I don't regret going there.
