Senior: Seven Lakes Highschool is a wonderful school to go to! The Fine Art Department is great in every category. The Orchestra does amazing, the band does amazing, the choir does amazing, the theater department is super cool! It's great to express yourself there. The education is good too. Most teachers are good and nice. Some teachers are absolutely amazing and will go beyond. The athletic department does great except in football but we'll get there one day. Senior: Overall a great school! Our motto is "make it a great day to be a falcon," meaning make everyday worthwhile. Embrace the small achievements everyday, and strive for excellence everyday. Which is what most of the days at Tompkins feel like. The teachers are great and they care about their students and their success, so if you ever struggling and need help ask you teacher, they will most likely be willing to work with you to get better. As much as the school is academically strong it is also really strong in sports. With almost every sport making districts and state. The academic competition is very strong here, and you have to work pretty hard to get good grades, but if you are struggling the staff and even students are willing to help. Sophomore: I love Clements High School and enjoyed my freshman year a lot. There are so many amazing things about the school including its kind and caring teachers and administration and the thoughtful students. The facilities like the gyms, tennis courts, commons, and football field are all very well taken care of. The school spirit of everyone on campus is outstanding! One of the only negatives that come to mind is the pressure on the students with their academics. The environment, though cheerful with all the friendships, is very competitive. I would wish that homework would not be as intense, or scheduling for tests and quizzes could be communicated between departments so that there isn't the pressure of studying for three tests that fall all on the same day. Junior: My high school experience at Dulles has been an enjoyable experience thus far. I went into my freshman year with little to no friends and bearing significant anxiety. We had just gotten out of quarantine post Covid and I was frightened at the idea of going back into a school environment. However, I made some amazing friends, as well as rekindling old friendships. The teacher's were kind and understanding, while challenging my mind. That's not to say I didn't have my troubles. There was drama in friendship, boys, and certain teachers. However, it taught me to speak my mind, focus on school, and keep my friendships genuine. My sophomore year was the best. I had fun, spent time with friends, I loved my classes and the people in it, and I felt challenged in my classes while being able to expand my mind and grow in each class. Senior: Most of the teachers are pretty good; however, there are still a few that can ruin a student's experience. Everyone here is still really happy, and there isn't much stress when in regards to competition or club activities. This school is still able to produce multiple MIT and Ivy league students per year, meaning that it is by no means a bad school either in terms of academics. The clubs here are amazing. This is such a diverse school with so many people from so many different backgrounds located in one of the most diverse counties in the nation; thus, this school comes with a lot f clubs and has an amazing school culture of collaboration. Junior: Ridge Point High school is the best representation of what a school should be. The academics are top-notch, they have a variety of clubs to choose from, and the teachers care about your success. My AP Spanish teacher always ensures we turn in our work on time and her curriculum enabled me to be fluent in the language! My calculus teacher gives us personal advice to ensure we succeed in high school and beyond. Ridge Point also has an outstanding sports program; the coaches do whatever they can to make you the best athlete possible. Parent: Both our son and daughter are graduating from Katy High School this year and we wouldn't trade their experience for anywhere else. The faculty is fantastic! Both kids received numerous scholarships based upon their SAT scores, GPA and school activities. When visiting the school, the students are always so well mannered and helpful. Definitely "old school" but in the best sense of the phrase. The alumni includes celebrities Clint Black, Renee Zellweger and Andy Dalton (just a little Katy High School trivia for you). Senior: The most notable thing about George Ranch is the size of the school. This past year we had over 2,500 students, which comes with both pros and cons. Its unlikely that you're going to be in a class with people you're friends with, so you should be prepared to make new friends every year, which might be easy for extroverts, but for those who find making new friends difficult, you might struggle in a school this big. On the up side, the large number of students allows for more elective classes to be available, and a better chance you can learn about something niche you enjoy. There's also many clubs you can join and meet people with a shared interest. Senior: I went to Kempner through my four years of high school. Overall, I think Kempner is an amazing school. All the teachers are very understanding and kind. They offer a variety of sports, clubs, and classes. One of my favorite parts is that they offer Dual credit courses in school. . Another thing I enjoyed about Kempner was how it was so diverse. You can find a variety of loving people/students at the school. The teachers and councilors at the school are very supportive and are there whenever you need them. Most importantly the college readiness counselor has a set plan and dates for when you should get things done which makes the application process very easy. Kempner high school is also a very spirited school, we love to wear our school colors which are maroon on Fridays to support our sports teams that are playing. Freshman: While I am still a freshman at Fulshear High School with more than 3 years still remaining, I believe this school is above average when it comes to each and every dimension. Teachers here are amazing, and my experience with most, even if I haven't taken their class, has been outstanding. Many teachers are willing to lend a helping hand and tutor students that are not even in their class, which exemplifies behaviors of being an excellent teacher. The amount of resources that the faculty strives to provide makes a huge difference as well, allowing me to further my education even as a freshman, when many other resources can be limited to upperclassmen at other schools. Our counselors are not cooperative when it comes down to course selection. Last school year, I spent two semesters in an introductory course that I did not want to take. Senior: My school has many programs for each student to get envolved. This school is diverse, inclusive, and welcoming. They have 0 tolerance for any form of bullying. This school also has its fun moments to celebrate/reward the students. We have had many lunches with a dj, A and B roll acknowledgments, senior colleges acceptances announced daily, and pep rally’s.
