Senior: What I like most about attending Paxon is the challenge that my classes present. The floor level of these subjects is fairly high. Keeping up the pace week after week can be pretty demanding, yet it is really all worthwhile. That moment when you know you have made the grade is extremely gratifying! As exhilarating as it is to win this learning game, the homework load can feel overwhelming at times. Junior: Douglas Anderson was probably the best years of my high school experience. I was new to the state when I first started attending and it felt like a really good start to my time there. The teachers there are versatile with their teaching, and the kids are incredibly unique and different. DA brought out the creative side of me and allowed me to express myself with things from my outfits, to my school activities and work. Students will be students and hate on the school while their in it, but compared to the schools in the area, it was pretty great. Take this rating lightly! Parent: My daughter is in her first year of attending RCSA and is in the 8th grade. My wife and I have been extremely pleased with the entire experience including the quality of the teachers, the leadership provided by the administration, and the opportunities for our daughter to participate in advanced classes such as honors biology and geometry. The level of communication from the teachers as well as the school is excellent with weekly RCSA newsletters and weekly progress reports regarding our daughters academic progress. Most importantly we value the culture that is deeply embedded within and throughout the entire RCSA community. Senior: Duncan U. Fletcher Highschool is a great. They have understanding teacher excited to learn and helpful administrative staff always willing to help students succeed. For example, many teachers stay afterschool to provide tutoring and extra help to students who may need it. Also, Fletcher provides many options for clubs and if there is a club you feel is missing, students have the option to create their own club. However, one thing I would like to see change at Fletcher is them bringing more awareness towards race issues. They allowed a blue lives matter flag to be displayed on their football during the midst and tension of the black lives matter protest. This in turn caused many families to be upset as they felt Fletcher was openly agreeing with racism. Junior: I started attending Atlantic coast high school my sophomore year. I came from a school where I was bullied and constantly excluded. I came to Atlantic coast tried out for the cheer team and made it. I made varsity where I met a new family, before I even started school officially, I was up there constantly all the administrators I met were super nice really making excited to go in the new school year! Senior: Mandarin was great! I loved there medical academy. I learned so much being a part of it . All of administration is amazing and very sweet. Senior: Sandalwood High School is a great school for academics, clubs/sports, extracurriculars, elective chose and is known as an "A" AVID school. The majority of the teachers are very attentive to students needs and prepare you for what's expected of you after high school. FHP Academies offer practical, hands- on training for students who choose to go straight into the work force or continue his or her education at post-secondary level. Junior: Terry Parker Highschool in Jacksonville Florida is an good school. This school have just added new classes, IT class and more. I love this school culture and more. I play football and our team went to playoffs 3x in a row from 2019-2021. The teachers are cool, help you with your work, and they explain more about the work. They take notes everyday and we do assignments they assigned to us. I'm in a program called Gear up. this program is an college prep program that gets you ready for college, talks about scholarships, have fairs every months and more. Senior: I transferred to William M. Raines during my sophomore year, just coming out of quarantine and virtual school I didn't know what to expect. Not knowing anyone there or in the state I was honestly worried about how my high school experience would go. I value time and high school was something I really looked forward to as a student all my life. That's why I'm grateful for how things turned out. I've met individuals who were funny, sweet, and most of all committed to their goals.
