Senior: Waukee High School has been a great place for me to grow and learn. The buildings are clean and well taken care of by amazing staff. Almost all of the teachers care very much about their students. Even the lunch ladies all have connections with the students and they treat us amazingly. I have been successful in all of my classes because of my teachers abilities to help me learn and understand everything they give, some teachers are more hardcore and some are more easygoing, but I have has great results with most. There are a select group of teachers that were not the greatest or most helpful but dealing with them became easier as the classes went on. Through the online learning caused by Covid-19 the school was extremely helpful and understanding of students and their needs through a stressful time. Junior: As a student attending Dallas Center-Grimes High School I believe that it is a very good environment. The teachers are extremely helpful and have always gone out of their way to help me and my fellow peers. Academics have always been an important factor in my high school career and they will continue to be important when it comes time to start my college career.
