Alum: I was taking AP classes through most of my high school years, and each and every one of my teachers prepared me well from the upcoming years I will face in college. I cannot say that I had a teach that I disliked in my high school career, and I thank the Northgate staff for that! In my school career I involved myself in numerous academic clubs, and each of these offered a variety of benefits that I used in my time in high school and will continue to use in the future. These skills developed range from the team work developed from academic bowl practices, to the friendships and studying skills supplied by Science Olympiad. Junior: I have loved my time at Newnan High School. This schools has the most amazing administrators and teachers, and they are truly some of the nicest people that I have ever met. Newnan is the best for college readiness and they have a phenomenal AP Program. The students at Newnan are amazing and so are the Athletic and Performing Arts programs,, such as Band, Chorus, and Drama. There are countless clubs for everyone to get involved in and this is truly a really close community. Senior: East Coweta High School is a pretty great school! Most of my good experiences come from the students and the theater department. Most of the teachers are nice and are very good at their jobs. They are extremely helpful and really want you to succeed in school and in life. We have a very active student body with many clubs and activities to explore. They have one of the best theater departments in the area, in my opinion. The school is very clean and well kept. One bad thing is the mascot of the "Indian". This mascot is offensive to the Native American populations that live around the area, as are some of the "traditions" we have as well (traditional headdresses and garments worn without regard to culture and significance, "Indian princess", portraying Native American's as savage). There is nothing else that comes to mind that is negative about the school.
