Barnum Secondary School
#3 Best Public High Schools in Carlton County
- Barnum Public School District, MN
- Rating 3.64 out of 5 39 reviews
Alum: I loved my experience at Barnum High School. The teachers there pushed me to do my best, and are all personally invested in each student's success. The counselor goes out of her way to find the information that upperclassmen need. The school is small, so you can know basically everyone you go to school with, but there aren't many social functions to attend besides games and the occasional dance. And because they're small, they don't have the budget for some funner classes, but overall the classes offered are good ones. Highly recommend this school.

Moose Lake Secondary School
#4 Best Public High Schools in Carlton County
- Moose Lake Public School District, MN
- Rating 3.38 out of 5 32 reviews
Senior: Moose Lake School is an amazing environment for any kid. The teachers are some of the most amazing people on the planet. Each teacher genuinely wants to make connections with their students. The only place where I wish it would improve is the gymnasium. The floor is poorly kept up and the colors on the floor don't represent our sports team. Other than that I love Moose Lake School!

Wrenshall Secondary School
- Wrenshall Public School District, MN
- Rating 4.5 out of 5 10 reviews
Senior: I loved and also disliked that Wrenshall was so small. I have 15 students in my senior class. I like that I'm able to connect with the teachers more with the smaller class sizes, but I don't like that Wrenshall didn't have a lot of extracurricular programs to offer due to small numbers.

Carlton Secondary School
- Carlton Public School District, MN
- Rating 3.33 out of 5 36 reviews
Senior: I loved the community, we see a lot of people get involved in everything. If your child goes to Carlton you are most likely going to get involved in activities. It's a small community but with a small community you get the chance to know everyone. If I could change anything about Carlton it would be to get more college readiness programs in it.

Cromwell-Wright Secondary School
- Cromwell-Wright Public Schools, MN
- Rating 2.89 out of 5 18 reviews
Senior: Cromwell-Wright School is very sports orientated and it would be interesting to see a little bit more of the academic side of the school. Academic achievements are just as important, if not more, than sports because many students are not going to go professional playing a sport. I would like to see more activities involving math, science, or music because those are just a few of the career areas in which many students will go into. Overall, I had a pretty good experience.
