Eastern High School

Niche User: My overall experience with Eastern High School was very good. Throughout my high school career the teachers were very helpful and always available for any extra assistance that I needed. The curriculum that I have been taught I believe has prepared me very well for college. This school focuses very much on giving each student the best education they could receive, and prepares students for state testing. Along with greatly preparing students for standardized testing, they also prepare each student for life post high school. This school is very flexible with education options as their students can stay on campus or attend local community colleges, as well as a career technical school that prepares students to immediately get a job after graduation. The students here are always friendly and welcoming to new comers. Overall, my experience here was great!

Senior: It's a pretty decent school, but sometimes a few ridiculous moments. There are rare bomb threats and also rare frights of school shooters. The only actual problem isn't in the school. It's how people view it. The past school year, the school asked the town for a tax increase to pay the teachers, sports, maintenance and buy new school supplies for the classrooms. People shot it down because teachers already get "paid too much". My mom is a school teacher. In the small town high school, she teachers freshmen (required) physical science, chemistry, and physics (11-12 grade courses, optional but required for honours). She has a masters degree in Chemistry and Science Education. She is only paid about 34,000. y father, who works a federal weather job, makes almost 90,000. He only has a bachelor's degree. The town is not supporting of the teachers.

Georgetown Junior/Senior High School

Senior: Moving to Georgetown my freshman year was, and always will be, one of the best decisions I have ever made. At Georgetown I feel challenged. Students are offered courses through colleges at our very own campus so I never have to feel like my course work is too easy for me. We are also opened up to many community based activities (like cleaning the fair grounds, GirlStrong/GMEN LEAD, 40 Developmental Assets). The staff is also another perk of attending Georgetown; They are always willing to help you better you work and yourself at it!

Western Brown High School
- Western Brown Local School District, OH
- Rating 3.43 out of 5 93 reviews
Alum: I attended Western Brown k-12. During my younger years, teachers were very understanding and helpful when it came to handling my condition (ASD, or Asperger's Syndrome), and I was supported well enough. Middle and High School were also sufficient, save for a couple of bully teachers that harassed specific students, one of which I was a victim of. The school did take action most of the time, so it was not all too bad. In conclusion, Western Brown is a good school district, and though some of the staff may be problematic, the entirety is understanding enough to take proper actions when they are notified of any misbehaviors.

Senior: I liked the people at RULH High School. There are many good people to be friends with and work with. I do not like the lack of clubs and groups for technology and related group types. It would be a good type of extra curricular group to add and would be a good way to educate about that area of science.
