Adrian R-III Middle/High School

Junior: Adrian is the best around. Their sports are played at a high level because of great coaching in every sport. The grades are taken seriously with every class, but you almost always have a chance to bring your grade back up, unless told otherwise. It is easy to make friends with the students, teachers, and the administration. I feel like I am at home when I am around my school.

Alum: Butler High School has a lot of school spirit and amazing students. The community is a great supporter of the school and all it's clubs, sports, and events. They help raise money for families of the community in need and they are always there for one another. There is so much love and compassion in not only the teachers and staff members, but the students as well.

Hume High School

Senior: Hume High School has several good perks as well as some downfalls as a high school. Personally, I enjoyed the small town feel. Having a small class of only 10 allows for you to feel at home and get the best one-on-one experience. The downfall is the convenience due to how far away you are from major towns and stores. For example: the closest gas station is almost 15 minutes away. I have also experienced a bigger high school and an advantage of that was seeing how other schools were in comparison to Hume. Those in the Hume community are very involved within the school and the town as a whole is very family oriented which I find is an advantage to going to Hume. Which means unlike many other schools, Hume isn't as diverse. Many of the students are related, and the staff hardly changes. Which can be an advantage or disadvantaged for some. Hume High School is very into their sports as well as academics.

Senior: Rich Hill Highschool is really the epitome of a small-town school. Everyone knows everyone and it is pretty small. There are very few electives to choose from, although you can sign up to get vocational training in trades such as construction, welding, agriculture, or graphic design, in a neighboring town. There are a few amazing teachers who truly care for their students and want to see them excel in life. The teachers are really the only thing that elevates this school from average to very good.

High School Senior: I love this school so much more than some people would admit. It's not just great for opening up people who are especially shy, like I myself was, but the student body cares for you also. They try to know who you are and if you just keep to your self that's fine too. The best part of my day, when I'm at school, is when I'm walking down the halls and person after person says hi, and they want to know how your day is going. If it's bad then they will give you a hug and try to cheer you up. Unless it's the older girls you talk to, then you know they have more experience and they don't really care for your problems because they're way too busy making up their own. Just as well as this school can be great it can also be pretty questioning too. Because though you have the awesome teachers who care for you, you also have the stuck up people who don't want to change the school in any way possible. Even trying to create a yearbook can be costly. They just need to be more understanding of others, and accept that change will happen to everyone. We all do eventually anyways.
