Glen A. Wilson High School
#289 Best High Schools for STEM in California
- Hacienda la Puente Unified School District, CA
- 445 reviews
Senior: I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with Glen A Wilson! The sports teams are equally funded, regardless of gender. As a tri-athlete this is extremely important for me. Glen A Wilson also has a lot of artistic opportunities for students. We have Drama, Dance, Choir, Band, Colorguard, Photography, Digital Graphics, and Art classes as well as teams and clubs. The extracurricular son campus also vary from community service to cultural clubs to athletic clubs. The campus is very welcoming to people of all nationalities and religious beliefs, there is zero racism present on campus from the teaching staff as well as the students. There is also a wide range of classes available. There are regular, honors, college-credit classes Advanced Placement, as well as International Baccalaureate. I would highly recommend Glen A Wilson to every family looking for a good public school educations with many opportunities for the student to explore their interests, career or otherwise.

John A. Rowland High School
#328 Best High Schools for STEM in California
- Rowland Unified School District, CA
- 531 reviews
Senior: John A. Rowland is one of the most advanced and considerate schools in the district! The campus is clean despite the relatively new construction, most of the staff has a high exposure to education and communication. The students' on campus are favorable. Granted, there is the occasional mean selection of students. however, I’ve never experienced a major division in regards to race, academic level or income as the school is very diverse, making it comfortable for all. The school provides a generous selection of sports, extracurricular activities and clubs often ran by the staff, allowing students to explore their interest. Regarding safety, there are over 100 security cameras and campus police to assure our safety and prepare us with procedures in case of an emergency. yet, I would like for the school to focus on encouraging more students to participate in activities such as sporting games or spirit weeks. As I believe that adds to the experience that students will always remember.

La Serna High School
#479 Best High Schools for STEM in California
- Whittier Union High School District, CA
- 509 reviews
Senior: This school was a really amazing school. It turned me into the man I am today, the last four years were one of the best parts of my life. They had a few problems but not to many to not say how good the school was, one thing I want to say is that I wish I played more sports but I am also happy for what I accomplished. Love the football program, it could turn a boy into a man and teach them a lesson and could not just teach them to play football but could help them turn into a well respected young man. And the teacher here on campus are very respectful and are always their for the student. Will always love La Serna with all my heart!
