Senior: My overall experience with Coral academy is genuinely decently good. It is a bit difficult being a STEM charter school, which makes us do things like senior projects in which many other schools dont do, however, they excel in the stem subjects and stem related extra curriculars. This school challenges the students and although once in a while there may be a teacher that may not be the best, I have never had an incredibly huge problem with the school. Our food isn't the most fancy, and neither is the campus, but we have all the necessities that we really need, and now its just focused on the education of our students. Due to it being a small school, there aren't as many clubs you might want compared to public school however, you can create you own clubs just like I have! The counselors are very fast and hard working, and if I could choose to go to a different school or stay here, I would stay. Senior: My journey at West Career and Technical Academy contained many bumps that shaped me for college. I am better prepared to balance school with work and extracurriculars. WCTA has shaped me to be more outgoing and to pursue profitable opportunities. WCTA presented me with many opportunities to investigate my future career. After concluding almost four courses in the Biomedical Science program, I discovered I desired to continue with the medical route. West Tech authorized me to grow past the limits and put me in a exemplary direction to succeed in life. The only fault of WCTA is the limit on taking classes from other programs as an elective. Sophomore: I am a sophomore at Veterans Tribute Career & Technical Academy, and this is my second year at the school. So many unique opportunities flood through our doors, giving students real-world experience in any desired career field. VT prepares you to be the best you can be academically, socially, and physically, with faculty that only want to see you succeed. We learn the values of respect, integrity, and discipline in our school, and develop confidence in public speaking. We are involved with our community partners and are fortunate to get to work with our local agencies. Junior: Doral is a good school. During my experience attending this school, I have had access to lots of new opportunities that I would not have had at a standard high school. They offer lots of college and career readiness options as well as ACT prep. One of the best parts of the school is that they allow us to take the ACT for free while also providing us with a free ACT preparatory program. The school is always trying to improve, for example, teachers are constantly giving us surveys on how they can teach better, they invest in subscriptions to programs as help toward our test scores, and teachers are always lenient with their office hours. One of the few things I would criticize are the options of AP and language classes. There is not a very wide variety of AP or language classes. For language specifically, we are only offered Spanish. Sophomore: My experience so far at Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon has been nothing but amazing. Furthermore, I enjoy the programs the school provides for us such as Aviation, Basketball, and AP courses. Also, the staff are very helpful in that they set us up for not only success but a bright future. They also ensure that we are in a safe learning environment so we can grow as people. Students at the school are kind, diverse, and social which gives you a sense of belonging to the school and the community is great. There are always events happening where everyone comes together to support each other. Senior: Amplus Academy is definitely growing when it comes to being more inclusive. Throughout the years I've been there I've definitely seen improvement in the way they handle things. They have an excellent support staff that is willing to work with you and your needs. I do believe that there is nothing special about their education system and that it's similar to public schools.
