Hollis-Brookline High School
Freshman: I am a currently freshman at HBHS, and I will admit I haven't entirely liked it. The school's entire culture is passed off as we are "snobby spoiled whites" which to a fair point is very true. Compared to other public schools in Nashua, or Amhearst the school takes too much pride in the high quality of grades they get on PSATS, SATS, and state-required tests. The dress code is never reinforced by the teachers, or administration causing girls to wear very revealing clothes at times to dances, and just every day. Its very hard for independent students who prefer to work alone, and or want to be alone due to there shyness, or social awkwardness are never looked at brightly. I am a loner who left 2 different friend groups, and many of us are looked as outcasts. When I try to interact with any of the teachers, subs, or students they give me awkward stares as if though I'm an alien. We recently got new guidance counselors this year, and I must admit most of them are fantastic.... Read 286 reviews
