Junior: I love Midway High School! The teachers are amazing, the administrators are phenomenal, and the campus itself is wonderful. In my time at MHS I’ve made relationships that will last a lifetime. The students really understand what it means to be good people and they represent the school with pride. On top of that, the atmosphere at the school is absolutely amazing! We love different activities and the student body always shows up to support their fellow classmates. Midway High School is an awesome school and I am so blessed to be a Panther!

Harmony School of Innovation - Waco
#4 Best High Schools for STEM in Waco Area
- Public School
- BEVERLY HILLS, TX
- Rating 4 out of 5 12 reviews
Senior: Harmony school of Innovation has been my school since sixth grade. This school is a STEM based school which means their focuses are primarily science . They actively listen to students and have a tight knight community that provides students with a great amount of support. This school tries their hardest to give its students every opportunity to grow and learn. These opportunities include extracurricular activities such as sports, language clubs, robotics team, garden club, and many more. This school takes its time in hiring well trained teachers to effectively allow their students to learn and anytime an issue is brought up with a teacher it is taken very seriously and often times the teacher is removed and replaced if students are actively expressing that the teacher is not helping them grow and learn. All in all this school values its students and employees and wants nothing more than to allow its students to learn values such as discipline, growth, education and responsibility.

Lorena High School
#5 Best High Schools for STEM in Waco Area
- Lorena Independent School District, TX
- Rating 3.67 out of 5 146 reviews
Niche User: Overall, my experience with Lorena was pretty good. It's a small school, but that doesn't stop Lorena from being very talented all around. The teachers are very kind and funny and care about your well being. There is not much for college readiness other than the 1 college prep class they have and the teachers/faculty trying their best to prepare you for it. I was at least well prepared for my community college when starting. The food was pretty good compared to many places. The facilities were alright but could definitely use some work. I think the main thing I could think to improve the school would be fixing the bathrooms and water fountains or adding more classes for languages, college prep, and the outside world. We only had 2 language classes (Spanish and German), 1 college readiness, and 1 outside world (Dollars & Sense ). Many funds went to murals, monitors, and a new football stadium. The appearance of the school is nice, but that would have been more helpful in my opinion.

Senior: A small school from a small town Bremond High School is a charming school that gets the job done. Due to the small-town nature that encompasses this school, it presents many pros and cons that even though it may help your education it may affect your social life as well.

China Spring High School
#8 Best High Schools for STEM in Waco Area
- China Spring Independent School District, TX
- Rating 3.56 out of 5 245 reviews
Senior: I’ve had a almost perfect time at China Spring High School. The facilities are amazing and the teachers are top notch. This gives me faith that I am well prepared for the real world and college that awaits me. My only complaint would be the school hair and dress code as it was a bit strict. However, that is the only complaint I have as I have made countless friends and countless memories. I will forever be proud to be a cougar!

Bosqueville Secondary School
#9 Best High Schools for STEM in Waco Area
- Bosqueville Independent School District, TX
- Rating 3.94 out of 5 35 reviews
Senior: I liked how the teachers are willing to help you if you are struggling. The teachers really care about your grades and will go above and beyond to help you. I played baseball and I liked how the coaches did not do favorites. The baseball coaches cared about every single player and gave every player an equal chance to make varsity. I would like to see them change the dress code and the student parking rules.
