Senior: I came to Homestead my junior year and was shocked with the nature of the school. Coming from a small, rural school district, I lacked exposure to rigorous academics, state-dominating athletic programs, and an overall competitive environment. Homestead offers an excessive abundance of academic opportunities, such as honors, dual credit, and AP classes, a club, or extracurricular for everyone, state bound athletic and music/arts programs, and passionate, hard-working staff and teachers. For a public school, the strict set of rules and dress code enforce a type of professionalism I'd venture to say is likely lacking in most high schools. The most common downsides of HHS are the lack of diversity, the lack of building/parking space (over 2,400 students now), and the sometimes arrogant attitudes of the student body (contributed by socioeconomic affluence of student body). I am proud to be a Spartan and love this school...the new high school will be absolutely amazing in a few years!

Alum: Carroll high school is very academically rigorous and challenges students to think in many different perspectives. There are a large array of class options to choose from and the school offers many college readiness classes such as AP and Dual Credit classes. I took many of these and as such am more prepared for college than the average student; I have also saved money in attending college as I received college credit for taking AP classes. The teachers at Carroll high school care greatly about their students and for the most part, this is very apparent. The social side of Carroll high school isn't bad either, while there are cliques, the atmosphere at Carroll is generally inviting and quite friendly. Overall, Carroll high is a pretty decent school!

Senior: Our school's main priority is preparing you for your future. While it is a high school they have many AP and college classes with excellent teachers guiding us along the way. We are one of the most involved schools around and have a tons of leadership from the faculty that prioritize the students over everything. If anything should change, I believe it should be where and when we spend money considering they are tight just coming out of a renovation.

Senior: Leo Junior/Senior High School is overall a very nice school. The teachers are very engaging, and friendly. Sports seem to get a lot more of the funding than any other department, which is a bummer, but the other departments are amazing as well. There are many things to get involved in and lots of chances to show school spirit!

The teachers do an amazing job and help students with academics and life lessons. The main focus is academics, which is well appreciated. I wouldn't change a thing about this awesome school.
