Gov. Thomas Johnson High School
#7 Best High Schools for STEM in Frederick County
Alum: What I liked the most about TJ was the people. One of the greatest aspects about the teachers, and administrators is their sense of determination. If you are failing, your teachers will provide you with resources to get better. The administrators care about succeeding enough that they built in a study session during the day which allows you to request or to be requested by a teacher for help in their class. The students were alright though not overly amiable, how can you be when your wall-to-wall in the hallways! Despite that most students were friendly and always busy with something
As for activities, there is always something going on be it in sports, academic clubs, art groups, NJROTC, or some other club. Overall, its a good school with amazing teachers and staff and number of good resources to help students toward success if they apply themselves.
