Senior: For a small town, Poynettet has a great education system. It's very obvious that everyone in the school cares about the students and is committed to their success. I value education greatly, and this is a school I would be proud to bring my kids back to. Sports are important but don't overshadow what's important. There is a variety of clubs to join and it's surrounded by a great community.

Portage High School
#2 Best High Schools for STEM in Columbia County
- Portage Community School District, WI
- Rating 3.81 out of 5 47 reviews
Senior: Portage High School is a good high school considering the size of the town it is in. The only thing I think needs improvement is the clock/ bell system. For two and a half years, the digital clocks throughout the building and sometimes the bell system that goes with it have not worked. This is frustrating as a student. The gym was recently redone with the walls being painted and the floor being replaced, but there are still no working clocks in the classroom! That’s ridiculous.

Alum: My high school knew everyone. It was fun walking through the hallways and seeing upper class students when I was younger and they would say hey to me. When I was a senior my grade was really close with the juniors, sophomores, and freshman! Senior year was probably the best year in high school. Don’t take high school for granted have has much fun as you can and make as many friends, join activities, go to sporting events.
