Works Here: I enjoy the Native American environment. The staff care about the students. I would like to see more Native American staff. I would like more sport choices for the students. There should be an art program open to students of all ages. There definitely needs to be more assemblies at Hood Canal School. The student always enjoy that. Another event that has faded over the years is show and tell. Overall Hood Canal staff does a remarkable job with the funds available to us. The one thing we lack funding for....that I find tragic is ... field trips which are a fun and essential part of learning. They can leave a lasting impression and sometimes can be an event that a student may otherwise not experience. Washington state and all states should put more funding into the education of our children. After all, they are our future.
