Activities encouraging student participation are diverse and plentiful. All day Kindergarten and Pre-K programs and their facilities are new and constructed especially for early learning. Educators are creative, professional, experienced and demonstrate the very best of the teaching profession. The Media Center is expansive in its library of books and resources. Specials are an integral part of Education. Early morning and after school programs available for working parents. Alum: I attended this school from 2005 to 2009, before later transferring to Fernway. While I was there I need a little bit of extra help, which I received efficiently and swiftly at this school, and can only offer the teachers at this school praise for. In fact, all elementary level special ed is housed at this school, while all middle level special ed is housed at Grissom Middle School. All in all, I felt that this school served me quite well.... Alum: I was a previous student at Fierke and had a younger sibling who attended as well. As a small school, each student is really taken care of and the teachers are very attentive to the students' needs. Unlike other schools, Fierke does have an advanced program and a program to help those who are falling behind. Allowing students to learn at their own pace has not only improved the behavior of the students in class, but it has also improved their academic standing.... Read 1 review

Alum: I personally think that this is a rather good school. I attended this school from 2009 to 2014 while I attended first through fifth grade and was very happy while I was there. Although this is one of the lower rated schools in Kirby School District 140, that does not mean that it is a bad school. Fernway is a school that consistently turns out good kids who are ready for the middle school level of their education. I also think that the teachers at this school were outstanding while I was there. I fact, my first, fourth, and fifth grade teachers are still at the school.... Read 4 reviews
