Parent: We absolutely love GPE! From the responsive and caring admin team to the most wonderful, loving teachers I can't imagine a better elementary school experience for our son. I love the PBL approach to academics and real world problems. I can see how much more my son absorbs and is excited for his work vs traditional worksheet/homework approach. The PTA is also very well organized and active, and we love the selection of after school enrichment programs/clubs available. Cannot say enough good things about GPE, we absolutely love it. Parent: Arlington Traditional School (ATS) was the start of many lifelong friendships for my children even though they came from all over the County. It fully prepared them for more rigorous academics in middle school, high school and eventually college. The teachers and the administration were terrific. My son even went back to visit his kindergarten teacher after his high school graduation to thank her for giving him such a great start. They were involved in sports, scouts and the extended day program after school. Fourth and fifth graders participate in music programs with their choice of instruments and a chorus. Every class does a play and it is performed in front of the school at the Friday assembly. Parent involvement is strong and there is a very internationally diverse enrollment. NOTE: My two children were at Arlington Traditional School in its former facility before it moved for the 21-22 school year, so I can't comment on the current facility.... Read 3 reviews

Sophomore: Old Dominion has been a great place from what I have experienced during my freshmen year. Most of the teachers I had the pleasure of learning from were enthusiastic when they were teaching, and had a lot of passion for their subjects. The only downside I would say I had was some of the teachers, like my chemistry teacher, made it very hard to learn the subject at the task. Parent: My child has flourishes at MVES. He enjoys his classmates and teachers. The school communicates very well with the parents and the teachers seem very engaged. I think the school work is fairly rigorous, though I would like to see my son challenges a bit more. The homework seems appropriate. Middle School Student: My experience at Sangster Elementary School was great. Sangster provides phenomenal education and helpful teachers. It is also ranked one of the most friendly schools in the state of Virginia, with a very low bullying rate. Also, statistics show that 92% percent of students who go to or went to Sangster are proficient in Math and 95% are proficient in Reading. This goes do show that Sangster is an awesome school that gives kids the education they need while having one of the friendliest groups of students and staff you'll ever meet. Middle School Student: Being a student at Mosby Woods is a privilege. You get great advanced academic programs and Preschool. My teachers taught me so much. The teachers are always really into what they're teaching and that's a great trait. I've made so many friends and they always know how to welcome new students. They have great activities and projects. Like the 20 years project or the Spring Fling/ Fall Ball. I'm sad I'll have to leave it. I had a great experience there. Time for middle school... Parent: Jamestown is an excellent school. Teachers care and has become a multicultural school. One of the best Montessori programs in the county. I have seen it grow and develop when I attended in 1968, their was pre kindergarden classes now it is thriving as my grandchildren attend. Parent: Excellent school with great teachers. The school emphasizes on quality education in Math, Science and Language arts. The teachers are of excellent quality and if they are responsive to the children's needs. My kids love to go to this school and they are learning a lot from this school. We searched several schools in Vienna and McLean area before settling for Spring Hill and so far the experience has been wonderful. Niche User: Overall I think the school is great! Here is my daughter's point of view: I think Keene Mill is pretty good, if you are new you make friends really fast, because there is so many people with different personalities and our school is really diverse. I haven't came across bullying, but one of my friends has. Overall, the school handles bullying very well though. I will say, if you want to get into AAP (Advanced Academic Placement) , yes I agree with the past comment, it is very competitive.
