Middle School Student: Great memories here. Wish the lunch was better, but very organized and interesting courses. Art and science were my favorite because it kept me entertained while I was learning. You will have lots of fun!

Niche User: We have had an excellent experience thus far. My son comes home everyday and tells me how much he loves school. Compared to some of the other school districts I feel that our kindergarten teacher has the right ideas about homework. She gives a small amount and a week to complete. This allows for a no pressure environment. After all this is Kindergarten. Having said that my son has learned so much in just a few months!

Freshman: I have given NEST+M a 4/5 stars because it excelles in benefitting the students lifestyle. Most of the teachers are great at teaching, creating hands on activities and group activities that would most likely benefit us later on. But at the same time, they are leient enough to extend a deadline if it’s absolutely needed for the student’s life outside of their busy school life. Additionally, we have college week where the teachers would explain to us about certain colleges (and universities). And there is also a college office. However, there aren’t many clubs, NEST+M is still developing in clubs. A few examples, Key club, tech crew, debate, and student government. Correlating, the PA helps out a lot, especially in setting up school events. The hold bake sales and breakfast for the adults and teachers on some mornings. Overall, NEST+M is a gifted and talented k-12 school, with different students coming from all five boroughs, bringing in their diverse cultures and unique colors.

Parent: Very good school, we all love it. my daughter was in Queens 26 school district, there are 32 students in her classroom, when she finished her grade, the teacher still spell wrong of her name. But over here JFK , there are only 16 students in her classroom and even the principal knows her name , he gives a lot of care to my daughter as a new student. Really lucky to be part of the school.

Parent: We transferred jr year from to Hoosac(specifically for their academic program and school spirit) and they made the transition incredibly smooth & pleasant! My daughter came out of her shell at Hoosac and was filled with school pride for her school.More importantly, I have told many parent since the switch I wish I’d done it earlier because their academic program is unparalleled! They start in Jr High with college prep, SAT’s and preparing our kids to become adults. What a student completes in on year at other high schools, they complete in one semester. That notion scared us at first but, again, the teachers there made it easy for her/us! The teachers, counselors and staff are always caring, accessible and the communication is top notch!
I am incredibly grateful we made the switch!
