Senior: My experience at MCI has overall been great. The teachers here are wonderful--enthusiastic, helpful, and committed to creating a productive learning environment. Concurrent with this, the students I am surrounded by are for the most part, engaged and involved people who want to learn and go the extra mile in academics.
The main complaint I have about MCI is its lack of attention to education in areas related to trade jobs. In an area where interest in classes like woodworking, shop, and welding would be high, I am disappointed that MCI has so little opportunity on campus for students to learn in these areas and others like them. While I understand that MCI hopes to behave largely like a charter school and cater to college preparatory needs, we are in an area where this most definitely should not be the only focus.

Senior: Great school! A school where you can be yourself.
More than 18 countries are represented at TA this year. I'm an international student from Hungary, and I'm graduating this year. Thornton gave me an opportunity to try everything what I wanted to: journalism, entrepreneurship, cooking, AP Human Geography , tennis, and a lot more. I couldn't even decide what classes and clubs should I take, because there are so many things I'm interested in.
The 4 years of High School is not about how to survive it, it is about how to enjoy every moment of it. Specially if you are studying at TA,I guarantee that you will find those friends who will last forever.
Academics, Athetics, Clubs, Dance, Art- everything!
