Peak to Peak Charter School
1 Best Public Elementary Schools in Colorado
- Boulder Valley School District, CO
Senior: Peak to Peak is a really great school that provided incredible guidance through my four years, and especially during the college application process of senior year. I loved my time here! The school spirit could be better, but it's definitely improved over the years, and the social scene is characterized by competition and can feel clique-y at times. Overall, the amazing education and general experience I had at Peak to Peak far outweigh the things that I would change. Go Pumas!

Senior: I am very proud of the school I go to. It is fairly small which allows for a close-knit community. As a senior I have friends across all four grades. Also, the teachers really care about their students and they desire to have a relationship with us and to help us succeed. Teachers like this are so important especially at a school where every regular class is the same level as an honors class at any other school. My school has such a fun, yet studious attitude. Everyone wants their peers to succeed and get good grades, but we also know how to have fun. Whether it is through our sports, clubs, or even just class time, everyone is engaged with each other and is friendly towards one another. One thing I would love to change about my school is having more school spirit. We have a good sports program, but our attendance at games is low. I would love for more people to gain spirit and go to games. It would further the bubbly and friendly atmosphere that already exists.

Alum: Absolutely incredible school, and incredible teachers and staff! I learned so much here and I took so much away from the experience. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a challenge academically, and for those who are ready to be pushed to their limits intellectually and mentally. Absolutely incredible teachers are always willing to help and support students, and are available long after graduation. I only wish I had lived closer so I could stay involved there!

Dry Creek Elementary School
5 Best Public Elementary Schools in Colorado
- Cherry Creek School District, CO
- PK, K-5
Parent: My son stared first grade last week. Last year he attended kindergarten and KEP. I can't say enough about the teachers and staff - they're phenomenal. How they have the layouts of the classroom and the smaller class size and the sense of community of it all, I couldn't be happier. We choiced in last year even though we were in district but moved for more space thanks to our growing family, so it's our home school and that was a HUGE factor for our choice in homes. We want to make sure all our kids can bus and be part of the DCE family.

Senior: I absolutely loved my experience at SMA high school! The school does a great job of molding strong young women who are able to voice their opinions both in and out of the classroom. The teachers are extremely invested in their students and take time to build personal relationships to ensure student's success. The sports are very fun and inclusive to new players, but could be more competitive with other teams.

Parent: Wonderful learning opportunities, especially outdoors with fall & spring trips and the interim trip. Lots of emphasis on team building and working as a community. Very, very caring teachers. After school activities & team sports include kayaking, rock climbing, snowboarding/ skiing, mountain biking etc. There are a few traditional team sports as well. Dorm life well structured. College counseling is small groups (~4 kids) working each week with the counselors Jr year into Sr: SAT/ACT prep, application, essay etc - ultra organized to make the stressful college process much easier.

Prairie Winds Elementary School

Parent: My kids have been going to Prairie Winds for 5 years now and they love it here. The teachers and staff are very welcoming and upfront with parents about their teachings and time spent with our children. There are many programs offered before and after school. The older students get to spend time with the younger students during reading times. And everyone seems to know and get along with everybody. This school is also one of the few in our area which has programs that cater to special needs children who have Autism. We love this school, the teachers and staff, and our kids do too.
