#20 Best Public Elementary Schools in Santa Clara County
Gardner Bullis Elementary School
Parent: Gardner Bullis is a small, community school that we have had a delightful experience having our son attend for the past two years. The teachers do a nice job of balancing academic excellence with social-emotional development.
Classes are small (our son's classes that last two years have 18 and 19 students, respectively). There are a variety of specialty teachers on staff (eg, literacy, ESL, library, PE, STEM, computer science) and docent programs that support additional areas of learning (eg, visual arts, "living classroom" which focuses on the outdoors, and the YMCA's Project Cornerstone which is focused on social-emotional development).
Recently, I was especially impressed with how quickly the school got a robust remote learning curriculum in place when the SIP order went into effect. Staff also adjusted quickly to feedback when it was received on what wasn't working.
If you live in the Los Altos Hills area and are looking at schools, I would definitely schedule a tour.... Read 1 review
