Senior: There are good points and bad points about every school. Prior to this year, I would have given it five stars. There are some amazing faculty and staff! Things just seem to have changed and they seem to care more about money and appearances than they do about preparing kids for the future. There really is no diversity. They say they are focused on college prep but there isn't strong guidance about college scholarships and what and when kids should be applying. Senior: Marquette is a school focused on academics and community. It's a school perfect for overachievers and those searching for their purpose. The school offers much diversity with both it's students, classes, sports and clubs. As far as academics, engineering to mythology and piano are offered. In sports, trap to Dance and Tennis are offered. And as far as clubs diversity club to scholar bowl is offered. Each Wednesday a school wide mass is held. Throughout the week students are allowed to go to confession, pray, and seek guidance from our many priests. Students attend peaceful protest marches, and work to serve our communities in various ways. Theatre Department holds a fall play, and spring musical every year. Our choir competes in vocal competitions annually as well. Our school has won numerous athletic and academic competitions throughout the years. Senior: Mississippi Valley Christian School is making a big impact on my life. Even though no cooling system is present and the gym floor is made of carpet, the students themselves are constantly working great changes in one another. This school encourages pushing one's limits, being friendly to one another and having a closer walk with God. Niche User: It is a great school for teaching, but when I was younger and went their bullying was a huge problem. They have started to make changes when I was leaving, but it was already to late for those of us who were being bullied. However, the teachers were great and always willing to help students who weren't quit where they were supposed to be. They made teaching fun and into games everyone wanted to play.
