Parent: When my son started kindergarten we sent him to a public school where he would just come home bawling to the point where he actually starting having bathroom problems. He went to preschool in the same building as MCA & we decited to check it out! They welcomed him with open arms, they were calm, caring and listened to him and his struggles. Alum: While I learned a lot at Christ the King, I did not enjoy being there for an entire 9 years. The class sizes are nice with around 50- 60 kids. The school stays up to date with technology. Alum: I love Good shepherd. not only does the child get an extraordinary education, but the family/parents get to experience it alongside the child. The farm program is the heart of the entire school. Without Ms. Theri the school wouldn't be what it is today. everything you see, the flowers, the trees, the produce is all thanks to her. Here at Good Shepherd, you find a new sense of family that you didn't think was possible. If you don't believe it, take it from someone who grew up in Good Shepherd. Parent: Small private school that offers Catholic education with multi-age classrooms and blended Montessori-style hands-on learning that focuses on educating the whole child- mind, heart, spirit, and body! You do not have to be Catholic to attend and all children will find a love of learning at this school. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to participate and be involved with the school on all levels. We love it here and have seen a massive improvement not only in behavior, but in academics in our son from the previous year he spent at the area public schools. If you desire your child to have the best education available in the New Buffalo area- it is here at St. Mary's, not the public school. Tuition is very reasonable and daycare is available before and after school! Pre-K through 8th grade is offered.
