Senior: I really have enjoyed my time at Marquette. Overall it is a great school that I am glad I am able to graduate from. Though I have made many lasting memories and have enjoyed my time, Marquette can sometimes be not so great. During my sophomore year we went through 2 geometry/trigonometry teachers and were left without a geometry teacher for about a month during the second semester before a replacement was found. I would say the amount of new teachers and the constant changing of teachers would be Marquette’s biggest fault. They’re really not the greatest at being able to keep their teachers and I have found that quite troublesome. Alum: I moved to this area when I was in first grade. So coming to a new school and new area was scary. I did not know anyone in my class. I knew that I was coming to a school where all of kids had known each other since preschool. When I got to my classroom, I surprised to find a bunch of kids run up to me and introduce themselves. Parent: Small private school that offers Catholic education with multi-age classrooms and blended Montessori-style hands-on learning that focuses on educating the whole child- mind, heart, spirit, and body! You do not have to be Catholic to attend and all children will find a love of learning at this school. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to participate and be involved with the school on all levels. We love it here and have seen a massive improvement not only in behavior, but in academics in our son from the previous year he spent at the area public schools. If you desire your child to have the best education available in the New Buffalo area- it is here at St. Mary's, not the public school. Tuition is very reasonable and daycare is available before and after school! Pre-K through 8th grade is offered.
