Senior: I have been at Wesleyan School for 4 years and have felt improvement at every step. Upon entering I was evaluated and spoken to on how to best help me academically advance and they have held to the standard that I helped them set of challenging me. I have felt challenged at every step, but never underprepared. They truly try their best to cater to each individual's learning. The teachers are phenomenal and are open to assist in outside learning at many hours that are clearly communicated to the students, allowing kids to get the outside help they need. They additionally help to upkeep the honor and discipline of students and are very loving to each one. There are also a wide array of activities to partake in from sports to shows in the fine arts, and each one is made a very engaging experience for students. Parent: Our children started GAC in 6th and 9th. After a year and a half I’m very impressed with the leadership, teachers, academics, and co-curriculars. Our children are very different; one is academic & artsy and one loves sports more than school. We chose GAC because it would be a great fit for both. As we go into the second semester of year 2, both kids are thriving! They have found great community and tried new things. My athletic child has discovered a passion in film editing and my theatre kid played 2 sports! We are thrilled to see them grow academically, spiritually, and socially. Our 6th grader was behind in math when she arrived due to covid /public school and because of great teachers, encouraging administrators she is now in honors math with an A. Our highschooler has great teachers too in Biology, English, Math, Bible, and Coach Aldrin helped him discover he LOVES history! Chemistry, not so much. Overall GAC has exceeded our expectations!... Freshman: During my time at this school, I have learned so many things, not just academic, but also physical, mental, and spiritual. Seeing the relationship that the whole school has reminds me of a family. Everyone knows the other person, and we all are always ready to pray or help out if someone needs any assistance or support. My husband and I prayed for a diverse environment where our students could grow confidently in their faith, learn to navigate life as testifying Christ-followers, and feel comfortable in their own skin. Like all schools, there has been some transition during our time here, and there is room for growth. While our student body is very diverse, I do wish our administration and faculty mirrored that diversity. Senior: I have personally enjoyed gaining an education at Hebron, as the teachers, staff, and faculty fully care for and invest in all students attending, and they are well experienced in their subject and exude much passion while teaching. They all hope to see their students succeed in all areas of life and are constantly willing to help them to the best of their ability. They are seeking new improvements for their classrooms and buildings, as well as expanding the classes offered, whether they be AP courses or electives. Additionally, they have much funding for their sports teams, many of which are successful in state level competitions. One major shift I would like to see is more funding for the drama department, as they have an extremely low budget, and the school overall focuses on sports far more than they do on the fine arts. Alum: I felt that Old Suwanee prepared me for the educational degree I chose to pursue in college. I made lifelong friends during my years spent here and maintained close relationships with my middle and high school teachers. Sports and participation in clubs are greatly encouraged, and I enjoyed the camaraderie with my fellow students and the personal growth I saw in my own life. While the teachers encourage a Spiritual priority, some of the student body is not nearly as concerned with living a life for the Lord as one could hope. However, this did provide me with the opportunity to be a leader for right and to practice standing for Christ. Parent: My children have both been going here since Pre- K. Overall it is a very good environment for both learning and community. Some of the teachers really go above and beyond to teach and bond with your children. There have only been a few that didn't make the grade and they seem to get weeded out pretty quickly. The sports program needs work compared to other similar schools. It is expensive for your child to play and for the parents, siblings to attend their matches. Parent: I can't say enough positive things about my experience at IHM over the past three years. The teachers and staff genuinely care about each and every student as though they are a member of their own family. I drop my child off every morning knowing that she'll be be taken care of and learn in an incredibly supportive environment. The school is very down-to-earth and is inclusive to all regardless of different backgrounds, family situations, income levels, etc. I also think that IHM models the teachings of the Catholic Church in every aspect of the school. From the weekly school Masses to the daily religion lessons in the classrooms to the community outreach through various service projects to the genuine sense of joy I feel on campus any time I'm up there, IHM delivers on their mission statement, which is to "model Gospel values and strive to achieve excellence so as to develop positive, productive Christians serving society." Freshman: I attended Cliff Valley School from Pre-K until 8th grade. This is my first year in high school and I am outstandingly grateful for the opportunity to say I went to Cliff Valley. The school did a fantastic job preparing me for my future. They even went beyond teaching work that many ninth graders are taking now. Cliff Valley makes students ready for their high school years without making it stressful. I was always challenged, but I was never too stressed. The bond with the teachers is incredible. Teachers would make students that were shy, able to feel comfortable presenting, and answering questions. Cliff Valley felt like a second home, like a big family.
