Parent: As a new Freshman parent I've been continually impressed with each interaction with St. Francis. The onboarding process is organized and informative, not only for the Freshman students, but the parents as well. All of the junior high events they offer students and parents to learn about what St. Francis offers are exceptional. The parent information session was a game changer. Hearing from staff AND students was great. Hearing about all of the great elective classes that neighboring Catholic High Schools do NOT offer, was also an eye opener. The feeling you get when you arrive at St. Francis is awesome. The community feeling is contagious. Everyone is happy. Father John is such an incredible asset to the school! The academics are challenging which is what we want! The athletics and coaching are top notch and we can't wait to switch back to the Chicago Catholic League next year as St. Francis continually outperforms its current competition. Senior: My personal experience with Nazareth Academy is nothing but great. Nazareth has taught me so much, academically and spiritually. When I say academically and spiritually, I mean I have learned so much about myself and about life. I have come in contact with many teachers and they all have been wonderful. I have not experienced any negativity from any of the teachers. They have pushed me in doing the best that I can in school. I have great relationships with my teachers and I can honestly say that Nazareth Academy is a wonderful school. Senior: I have been at Schaumburg Christian School for seven years now. It has changed a lot since I started coming to this school. If you are looking for a Christian school with Christian values, this is the place to go. I found my faith at this school and grew as a person. I learned a lot because the teachers here are amazing and they have given me a literal college course in high school. My math teacher told me one time that one of his students who is in college right now is bored in math because they remember what they learned from his class. This is the school you want to go to if you are looking for a good education. The only downside I can think of at this school is that it doesn't have as many opportunities when it comes to dual credit courses or ap courses. Senior: The school is very good in their education. I really feel as though I learn topics, in classes I’m interested in, anyways. The best parts were being able to communicate with my teachers about confusing topics and them being understanding about requests for extra time during assignments due to various personal reasons. Senior: I’m a senior in high school at Timothy and I've been a student here since preschool. I absolutely love it here. The community is amazing, it's super easy to make friends and the academics are challenging for those who want it. There is also a great support system if you fall behind that puts you right back on track. The teachers are very nice and understanding, and I often become friends with them throughout the school year. There are plenty of extracurricular activities that are open to all students from athletics, to academic clubs like Scholastic Bowl and Mock Trial. The arts are also a strong suit at Timothy with a concert band, orchestra, choirs, theater, and plenty of art classes. I personally am involved with band, both concert and jazz, scholastic bowl, National Honors Society, cross country, and track. Other: My time as a teacher at Walther was one of the best work experiences of my life. First, the administration is supportive, approachable, and accessible. Being a “smaller” school, there are many hats to wear, but you’re not alone: the faculty and staff are an extension of family. As a smaller school, you also know when to reach out and help a student who may be in high school or middle school, but not your room. Works Here: School Review I have the best job in the world. First of all, St. Raphael School has an incredibly welcoming atmosphere. Teachers, staff members, parents, students, and prospective students are all made to feel like family. Secondly, I get to spend all day teaching English! Talk about a dream come true! At St. Raphael, every teacher feels the same passion for his/her subject and grade level. We ALL think we have the best job in the world! Parent: We moved to Arlington Heights from the city because the schools are highly rated. Not having full-day preschool or kindergarten in the public schools we found St. Peter. Eventually, we moved our 1st grader to the public school and had a nice experience, but there is just something extra at St Peter that makes it worth investing in our children's education. We are now back at St. Peter and the kids love it and so do we. They do a wonderful job of helping us raise well-rounded kids. The classrooms are not overcrowded and the teachers can give each student the attention they need. There is a real connection between the families at St Peter, and the staff is so welcoming.
