Alum: I transferred to Housy as a Junior from a large private high school on Long Island. In transferring to Housy it opened so many opportunities for me to explore other subjects that were not offered at my previous high school. Housy has a fabulous art program, and an art garage opened after school. I was able to work on sets for theatre productions and sell my artwork. Housy has connections with the local community in order to assist you in getting a job or explore different career opportunities. The community support is immense, and I walked away from the award ceremony with over 10,000 dollars in scholarships for my first year alone (About 450,000 in scholarships was handed out). Housy prepared my for college where I pushed myself to take as many AP courses as possible, I was even able to use my English AP exam as college credits. Housy allowed me more opportunities than my previous high school with its supporting staff and community helping every step of the way!
