Freshman: My freshman year at McCallie was great. I'm a science-oriented student and McCallie had so many opportunities for me to explore my interest. This year I joined the science bowl, biology research, HOSA, and Future Medical Professionals clubs. I was able to conduct research at McCallie's awesome cell lab and won some prizes at a local and state science fair! The clubs I joined were all run by students with a teacher advisor and were very active. Most clubs would meet at least once a week to prepare for whatever event we had. Additionally, I joined McCallie's Natural Conservational Guild (NCG) which is a club focused on preserving the environment. It was really fun to clean up local rivers and trails as well as start our own garden next to the dining hall. Regarding classes, they were all amazing with extremely supportive teachers who are willing to work with me and they gave reasonable homework. Also, the campus is amazing. Junior: I really like the experiences you get ay Baylor. With it being a boarding school you get to meet all of these different people from all over the country which is really cool! Senior: Attending Notre Dame High School had been one of the greatest privileges I have ever had. I transferred to NDHS going into my sophomore year of high school and I have academically achieved to my highest potential and my teachers have pushed me to succeed. Not only have I academically achieved but I also made some of the best friends I could have ever made. The community at Notre Dame is like no other. Parent: I loved CCS before Covid and even love it more now! My kids have thrived though the virtual transition. Due to health reasons for one of my children and myself, we had to stay virtual this whole time. We have been treated with so much love and patience. I pray hard that maybe the school can find a way to offer virtual for some of the kids that cannot be vaccinated yet and perhaps have a dedicated instructor for virtual lessons so on campus do not have to toggle between all of the kids. That has to be super tough but these teacher are remarkable in every since. So much love and support all of the time. My kids made great grades during this entire pandemic. CCS did miss a beat! I recommend this school for everyone that wants their children in a diverse, loving, joyous and real Christian environment. Choosing this school was the best decision I have ever made in my life and my children's lives. I have one in lower and one in high school and extremely satisfied-would give 100 stars!... Alum: Collegedale Academy is tucked away in a small University town. The community it abundant and caring. The school is a very well rounded experience. The faculty take the time to know each student. There are opportunities for academic advancement, competitive sports, and community outreach. Parent: This is our first year at Grace and from day 1 we have felt like we have been here for years. Everyone makes you feel like family. The students, teachers, coaches, etc.. have not only embraced my children, but have embraced our whole family. We have a 9th grader and one in kindergarten, so one in the upper and one in the lower school and everyone has been amazing. It is an amazing feeling knowing you are sending your children to school everyday to not only get an education, but to also learn about Jesus and get a spiritual education also. Junior: Oakwood Christian Academy is an excellent school to attend. I love it here and have gone since kindergarten. The reason I love it is because the teachers here actually care about you. It isn't all about meeting the quota for the year on how much information is covered, but they actually try to invest in every single student. They also have a heart for us to learn more about Christ. They try to incorporate the Bible into everything they teach, and they try to be the best examples possible. I would say the thing I love most about Oakwood is the safe and friendly environment. I have never felt in danger while I have been here, and if anything does happen then I feel that they will have everything under control. The part about the friendly environment comes from the students. Everyone is very kind here and the older class-men try to reach out to the younger class-men in order to build a connection.... Sophomore: Overall, I love my school! The teachers and administration work very hard to prepare us for college. I think I'm getting a very good education compared to my previous public school. However, I think that the culture in the school can be somewhat judgemental and toxic. This doesn't necessarily include the teachers (although it could,) but mainly the students. Parent: My family is in love with Bright School. We have two kids that have attended since kindergarten. We appreciate the attentiveness and love from the faculty and administration, and the excellent academic standards paired with wonderful support. Parent: St Jude School is the best school on the Chattanooga area! The teachers are all amazing. I wish the teachers at the school I went to many years ago were as nice, attentive, caring and just awesome. The whole staff is amazing! I was so worried about sending my child to a private school due to financial reasons, but St Jude is very affordable. Parent: MY children have been attending OLPH for 8 years and we have loved it! The teachers and administration are innovative, enthusiastic and committed to nurturing a life-long desire to learn. My shy son has come out of his shell and his sister has learned to challenge herself and take risks. With a focus on virtues, my children are being nurtured everyday to fulfill their spiritual and academic potential and to have a growth mindset. They have also had the opportunity to participate and learn new sports without the pressure of trying out. When the pandemic hit last year, our school transitioned smoothly to online learning. I appreciated the thought that went into assignments and that my children didn’t have to spend 8 hours a day online for school. Parent: An outstanding school. It is smaller school creating a family-like feel. The class size is one of the smallest in the area which has really helped my children thrive. There are children that able to work above grade level in reading or math if they are ready, as well as students that can work in the grade below if they struggle in a certain subject. Fourth and fifth grades really kick into high gear to really prepare the kids for middle school at any of the college preparatory schools around. My children have learned so much about their faith and feel so loved by everyone here.
