Senior: I have been at Wesleyan School for 4 years and have felt improvement at every step. Upon entering I was evaluated and spoken to on how to best help me academically advance and they have held to the standard that I helped them set of challenging me. I have felt challenged at every step, but never underprepared. They truly try their best to cater to each individual's learning. The teachers are phenomenal and are open to assist in outside learning at many hours that are clearly communicated to the students, allowing kids to get the outside help they need. They additionally help to upkeep the honor and discipline of students and are very loving to each one. There are also a wide array of activities to partake in from sports to shows in the fine arts, and each one is made a very engaging experience for students. Alum: Like any other high school student you can always find things to complain about, but looking back a few years post grad I realize how truly lucky I am to have received an education of this quality. Compared to my college peers, I was better prepared to face and conquer college level courses. While friends were struggling with the pace and rigor of the transition into college I was able to balance my social, work, and educational lifestyle with relative ease over my 4 years. Parent: Our children started GAC in 6th and 9th. After a year and a half I’m very impressed with the leadership, teachers, academics, and co-curriculars. Our children are very different; one is academic & artsy and one loves sports more than school. We chose GAC because it would be a great fit for both. As we go into the second semester of year 2, both kids are thriving! They have found great community and tried new things. My athletic child has discovered a passion in film editing and my theatre kid played 2 sports! We are thrilled to see them grow academically, spiritually, and socially. Parent: Providence Christian Academy has been my family’s second home for 3 years now. My husband and I prayed for a diverse environment where our students could grow confidently in their faith, learn to navigate life as testifying Christ-followers, and feel comfortable in their own skin. Like all schools, there has been some transition during our time here, and there is room for growth. While our student body is very diverse, I do wish our administration and faculty mirrored that diversity. Alum: The teachers really care about every individual! They always took the time to talk with me one-on-one and make sure that I was doing okay not just academically but emotionally. It is so easy to become a leader in the school from starting your own club to being captain of a team to becoming editor of the newspaper or yearbook. Additionally, you can't help but feel the tight-knit community at AJA. Everyone knows everyone and has each others' backs. Everyone sings together on Friday at Shabbos Dancing and cheers like crazy at basketball games on Saturday nights. One thing that I think they could work on is instead of changing everything each year (school uniform went from needing logos on everything which cost a lot to not needing logos to not having any uniform at all). Rather, they should just focus on making sure what is already in place is working. Junior: I transferred from another local private school to William & Reed for my Junior year, and I cannot say enough positive things about it! Parent: Atlanta Adventist Academy is a hybrid high school program that caters to all who would like a Christian based education in the east coast. I like that they have options for any family circumstances. There are students that attend every day on the Duluth campus, others that are on partner campuses and come Tuesdays and Thursdays, and others that are home learners and connect online daily. Students connect from Maine to Florida. I really like the flexibility and structure at the same time. They have a great college prep curriculum that prepares students to be successful in college or any other vocational school they wish to attend. The teachers and staff are very friendly and interested in the students' success. Though a smaller setting, it is full of social activities, a few clubs, some sports, and leadership opportunities. Parent: I can't say enough positive things about my experience at IHM over the past three years. The teachers and staff genuinely care about each and every student as though they are a member of their own family. I drop my child off every morning knowing that she'll be be taken care of and learn in an incredibly supportive environment. The school is very down-to-earth and is inclusive to all regardless of different backgrounds, family situations, income levels, etc. I also think that IHM models the teachings of the Catholic Church in every aspect of the school. Freshman: I attended Cliff Valley School from Pre-K until 8th grade. This is my first year in high school and I am outstandingly grateful for the opportunity to say I went to Cliff Valley. The school did a fantastic job preparing me for my future. They even went beyond teaching work that many ninth graders are taking now. Cliff Valley makes students ready for their high school years without making it stressful. I was always challenged, but I was never too stressed. The bond with the teachers is incredible. Teachers would make students that were shy, able to feel comfortable presenting, and answering questions. Cliff Valley felt like a second home, like a big family.
