Senior: I'm a "lifer" at Shorecrest, having been here since Alpha. My experience with the school is perhaps different from students now since there have been many changes both faculty/administration-wise as well as with the newest buildings on campus. Shorecrest introduced me to reading at a very young age. I'm very grateful for that. The quality of education that I have and am receiving is top notch. Middle school prepared me very well for upper school, and now, as a graduating senior, I feel quite confident in my academic abilities. Teachers are just fantastic. The theater and athletics programs are excellent. As a small school, students have the opportunity to be deeply involved in a number of programs, ranging from service clubs to sports to the annual Spring Musical. Being able to do a range of things is important as it allows students to forge their own path by testing different areas out and seeing how they like them. Sophomore: Canterbury is a terrific high school. The small class sizes help the teachers get to know you better than just a name on a roster and will actively assist you both in and out of class while still challenging you. The administration cares about you and will ensure you are doing well. There are many activities that you can do, including numerous clubs, which are all supervised by a faculty member but directed by students, which provides students with leadership knowledge. Students are also not placed into stereotypical groups like "jocks" or "theatre kids." Students get the opportunity to do various activities. I would suggest this school to anyone.... Parent: Calvary Christian High School is an amazing combination of a stellar education, warm hug of caring teacher/staff, and tight knit community of students and families. CCHS prides itself on offering college level classes with staff who can do so. The extracurriculars as far as sports, clubs, and programs can not be beat for a private school support. There is nothing the students, or families, do without here and everyone feels supported along the high school path. When the students prepare for college, the college advisors are ready and amazing at what they do. Senior: St. Petersburg Catholic Highschool offered a familial like atmosphere. All faculty and staff genuinely concerned for the well being of their students, and were encouraged to get to know them personally. Many teachers applied real-world situations to all subjects, allowing us to see the importance in our studies and how they could be relevant to us. As a private, catholic school, SPC made faith, compassion, and understanding an absolute necessity in daily life. Never once did I feel neglected by students or teachers. The school also encouraged all to participate in any kind of outside event whether it was sports, or even honor societies. Senior: I was a transfer from another school into CCC so I have the unique ability to compare both Catholic schools I was in. I have never felt more like home than when I stepped foot on this campus. I have never encountered a more caring staff all the way from admin to the teachers, even the coaches and training staff. I would highly recommend anyone for this school. The student body is amazing, all the students are close and come out in droves to support each other in their sports, even in after school club activities. Senior: Very accepting of all religions, race, and gender. The Bible is integrated into all classes, and students get a chance to grow in their faith. Bullying is not tolerated, and Northside has a variety of after school activities such as sports, Fine Arts, Color Guard, Marching Band, after school clubs, and more! Parent: I have two sons in this school for the second year. The atmosphere and academic teachings are excellent. Each staff member knows each student by name no matter who I come in contact with at the school they know my children! They attended another private school prior with the same curriculum and the difference in their learning at CCSA vs. other school is 100% better. They actually TELL me about what they have learned without me asking! There is a variety of activities (electives) for K-12 which is unheard of in other schools. Usually, only upper classes get electives. My kids are taking art, music, dance, sports, etc. during the school day, don't even have to do it as an after school activity! Parent: My children have been at SPCS since Kindergarten. The curriculum is advanced, the teachers instill accountability and independence, and the community is amazing. We have made so many friends over the years, we love all of the events at the school, my kids know they are loved and belong here. Alum: I attended LCC 2-8th grade and have nothing but wonderful things to say about it. I felt as though I was a part of a family. Parent: Grace Lutheran School has been an amazing place for my children to attend. We love the environment and community of the school. The teachers and staff are great and treat your kids like their own. We have loved our experience. We will gladly recommend this school to other families in the area. 1 of our children has a learning disability and Grace has been amazing at finding and obtaining extra support for our child. The staff were very helpful in navigating the difficult system of getting additional aide for our child that is needed and required from Pinellas County. Parent: My kids have thrived in the hands-on learning environment that is fostered at the SailFuture Academy. The small class sizes mean that each of my kids are given the individual attention they need in the subjects which they are struggling in.
