Senior: great school overall! has endless opportunities for every type of person; sports, clubs, community service, faith, etc. I am a senior and the memories I have made over the past four years have truly impacted me and created me into the person I am today. I am beyond grateful to have been able to attend such a great high school. I recommend all girls to check this school as an option for high school. Even if it's not in the budget, there are so many scholarships that can help. I have been able to find enough scholarships to pay for all my tuition through all four years! Junior: ACA is a constantly improving and expanding school. There are pros and cons to its education, but overall, I believe it was best that I went here. Islamic education is vitally important. The Quran classes have especially improved from before, with middle and high school being taught based on skill level rather than grade. Arabic could use improvements for non-Arab speakers, along with more programs, but it is improving. Islamic Studies really depends, and a lot of the benefits come from whether the student pays attention or not, in my opinion. The other basic subjects, like Math and English, are just ordinary. Better than public schools, but perhaps lacking compared to other preparatory schools. Clubs and bonus hours are not too great, but considering the size of the school, I feel like that's acceptable. Parent: We have been at PVCP since 2014 and we have been blessed beyond measure! We have 3 daughters that are all at the school and have attended since they were in the Pek 3s class. The teachers, curriculum and community are unmatched. I have worked in Higher Education within the education field and have an understanding of what makes a great teacher and great curriculum and this school goes above and beyond. My daughters, even at the young age of 3, were truly learning the fundamentals to get them ready for Kinder. Senior: ALA is a small school, but not lacking. The size is actually a blessing because everyone knows each other, and it gives opportunity for really close friendships. Works Here: This is by far the best school located in the heart of Chandler, if not the entire state of Arizona. This community is special. Senior: Overall, I feel that valley has allowed me to mentally prepare for the college level in ways such as academics, life experiences, as well as the social aspect. Valley Lutheran has a great community of people and allows for acceptance and new beginnings. What is also nice is there is more personal connections with staff and they make sure to create a pleasant work environment for the students. The athletics are also a major plus when it comes to valley because they are able to provide each student with the ability to play any sport they please as well as doubling sports in a season if requested. Alum: During my time here at St.Marys I was able to learn more then just education. I was taught about my faith in a way I never would have known. I was always Catholic but never practiced. St. Marys taught me the true meaning of being Catholic and I studied the Bible, Saints, the history of the faith, and what it truly means to follow God. I studied this all four years being there in my Theology classes which were lead by teachers who did not force the faith upon the students but instead just wanted to educate us. Besides the religious views, the academics were beyond what I could have received at any other school. The school did everything in their power to make sure every student stayed on track with their curriculum. I remember if I started to fall behind in a class the teachers would reach out to help in any way they can. The teachers genuinely care about the students and the school provides many wonderful resources for students whether it's trying to find the best college for you, needing good research for a research paper, or needing spiritual guidance. Northwest Christian School really focuses on building a good community for students to grow into who they are. Parent: We transferred our kids from public school because they did not get challenged enough. We first attended a band/choir recital, & we were sold! We looked into it some more, &were happy. Kids R held accountable, which is a huge life skill! Rebellion is dealt with in a kindly manner, and counseling is always offered. Parents R involved in disciplinary decisions, as they R partners w/ the school. Academic ratings R good / the state accreditation. Teachers are super dedicated, not only to academics, but also are catering to the person as a whole, spiritually, and other areas of development. Being a small school, athletics is not it's forte, yet mostly dictated by resources and availability of participants. Attn to safety is top priority &the rule of this 'land' is "love your neighbor as yourself." Staff is superior to any school I've seen. Senior: My overall experience at Phoenix Christian has been very good. I have made a tight connection with people over the course of my four years. The sports are above average and the education is pretty good. I have one major complaint however. With all of the foreign exchange, and new program like Heart for the City, there leaves a gap in diversity. The school is not as unified as it could be. Often times everyone has their own little group and that’s how it stays. If only the school was a little bit more unified, my experience would have been just a bit better. Parent: The Jones-Gordon School is a welcoming environment. We have 3 kids (grades 5, 8, 11) that have transferred to The Jones-Gordon School. Each of their transitions were very smooth. Transferring them to JGS was the best academic choice for them. The teachers and staff are highly qualified to understand their learning differences (dyslexia and ADHD). This low ratio is greatly beneficial in differentiating according to student needs. Moreover, Emmanuel’s students’ perform well above the national average in all grade levels. Parent: We have been so blessed to have our children attend Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. The curriculum is all faith based and the education is top notch. But what really sets OLMC above the rest are the teachers and administrators. They are absolutely amazing. Parent: Our son attended another private school in Ahwatukee last year and although we knew we wanted to move him, the thought of it was extremely stressful. We wanted to ensure this would be the last move for him until high school. After touring Summit on my own, and then separately with our son, we knew we had found the right place. The campus is beautiful with separate classrooms for art, music, science and languages. His teachers are amazing; he has created real bonds with them as well as his classmates. He is excelling in every way and is happy to go to school each day. I often hear this is the best kept secret in Ahwatukee and I couldn’t agree more!
