Senior: As a senior at CSG who's spent 7 years here, I've been at this school for a long time. CSG has a lot of good things about it, but there are some things you should be aware of before attending. CSG has excellent teachers, and most students here form close relationships with them. You can always meet individually to ask for help, and they all have office hours/free periods to faciliate that. There's a wide variety of classes here that get more interesting as you progress, and the academics are difficult but not impossible. There is a significant amount of homework that can become overwhelming at times. Sports here are my least favorite part. If you're not already "good" at one before coming, you will not get better. The food here is AMAZING, and you'd be pressed to find better food anywhere else. This is initially why I came lol. Senior: I have been very pleased with my experience at St. Charles. When I was an incoming Freshman I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised with the strong academics and culture. I think it has prepared me for college more so than any other school in the state of Ohio would have been able to and has allowed me to create strong friendships along the way. Our sports programs are some of the most competitive in the Columbus area. They give the students room to grow as an athlete and as an individual. St. Charles Prep. truly shines in its teaching of the maths and sciences. It has some of the best teachers in those subjects, and they can be helpful if you thinking of going into a field with a heavy emphasis on those subjects. St. Charles Prep. has taught me how to manage my time, strengthen my academics, and help me create lifelong relationships. Senior: I was very skeptical about going to a private high school when coming out of middle school. I went to a public middle school and I was not looking forward to leaving all my friends behind, wearing a uniform, and so much change. When I arrived at desales I could tell that the environment was different and unfamiliar. At first I viewed that as a bad thing. Over time I recognized that there is nothing to be afraid of. DeSales presents its students with a lot of work and at first I saw that as overwhelming. It did not take me long to realize that it is posible to accomplish goals that may seem out of reach. The school has places to go at all times of the day if you need help with math or writing, and the small class sizes mean that you can receive individual help from your teachers when needed. I am a senior now and I would be the first to say I have a few bones to pick with the school after four years. The price of school lunch went up this year. Just between us, I would do it again.... Senior: Bishop Hartley is a great place to get higher education. I am not Catholic but the teachers make it an open discussion for non Catholics to voice their opinions or say what they do in their religion. You meet some very solid friends there as well. I have made great relationships with teachers and the lunch ladies. You wouldn’t think much of people who serve you food but to me they do more they do much more. They always want to know how you are and how school is going for you. I’ve had the best life advice and overall conversations from them. There was one lunch in particular that I’ll never forget. My lunch account was low and I didn’t know, but one lunch lady gave me some grace. I enjoy the women who work in the cafeteria. They are filled with so much joy and are always ready for a conversation. It’s a nice break from teachers and just being able to have a conversation about anything, You while learn in high school that a “Thank you” or a “yes ma’am and yes sir” goes along way.... Senior: I came to this school my junior year (currently a senior) and I love it. The faculty are all amazing and truly care about each and every student. The only downsides I would mention are mostly due to the small size of the school. I enjoy having smaller class sizes, but a limited amount of students also means less available classes to take, like AP classes or electives. Senior: Bishop Ready is a school where not too many people coming in may know each other, but as time goes by they will become friends and have love and faith in one another. Bishop Ready is a well rounded school with many different diversities. No matter what color you are the students all love and respect each other as one. Parent: This is our first year at Madison Christian and we have been thrilled with our experience! We transferred in from another school and had concerns about the transition, but God has been faithful and helped my children acclimate quickly to the new school. The faculty, staff, students, and community at large have made us feel welcomed. The love of Jesus is evident in so many of those here and that makes all the difference. Aside from that, I think the best part is the curriculum. They are transitioning to a Christian Classical Education, which I think is phenomenal. I've been very pleased with what my children have been learning thus far and I'm even more excited about what they will learn in High School. Is it perfect? No. No place is. Sophomore: It's my second year at this school. I began High School in 2020 so that was interesting. Although I haven't experienced the full high school experience I feel as if the staff is trying to help us make the best of it. They help academically by pushing us and helping us out by having office hours where you can ask any questions or complete any assignments. And then mentally, we had a Christmas party the week before exams every advisory had one. Even the building was decorated. I also learned more about the Catholic faith, I grew up baptist so I'm learning more about myself spiritually. Senior: My experience with Grove City Christian School has been great! When I first came to the school in the 6th grade ( I am now a Senior in high school) I was very nervous because I was going to be the new kid which can be tough and with Grove city Christian school's reputation this meant I was going to have to get used to a more advanced school than I had been used to. I was going to have to make new friends as well. However, on the first day, the people that I met were all very welcoming and sweet to me. They even assigned a buddy to show me around the school. I believe my time here at GCCS has been crucial to the development of my character as well. Alum: Veritas is wonderful! The small christ-centered school rents out a church, allowing for an atmosphere where you can have God at the center of your studies, which is what they're all about! With the school being so small, it is also easy to make friends and acquaintances with everyone there. By the end, I knew everyone so closely and it was amazing to feel so loved and supported by everyone there. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, kind, and willing to help anytime you may need. They genuinely care about their students well being and success both academically and in the students personal life. The curriculum is well chosen and rigorous, but not overly-so. I felt challenged but not completely overwhelmed! Overall, I would recommend veritas to anybody.
