Alum: American heritage is an amazing private school with so many opportunities. The different pre-professional tracks, including pre-law, pre-med, engineering, biomedical engineering, computer science, and business are taught by professionals in the real field. The academic workload is intense at times but the teachers are (for the most part) great! The clubs outside of school are also great as well. There’s many competitive clubs like debate, robotics, model UN, math, olympiads, science research, and so much more. Senior: I have attended Pine Crest School since first grade. Since that time I've taken part in a multitude of activities. During that time I have participated in theater and found my second family full of people who I feel most comfortable. My teachers, for the most part, have been phenomenal. The resources are plentiful and the facilities are excellent at Pine Crest. Coming from a middle class family, I often felt ostracized from the majority of the students who were better off financially. The worst part of my experience was the lack of socio-economic diversity. I'd like to see the school make more of an effort to include students from various backgrounds. In order to do this the school could offer academic scholarships like other private schools in the area do. However, the friendships I have made over the years are ones I will cherish for a lifetime. Junior: Overall, I was incredibly impressed when I first joined Carrollton. I feel comfortable in an all-girls school and nearly every teacher there genuinely teaches well. The campus is gorgeous, but the only downside is the lack of a cafeteria. We sit outside in the hot Florida sun to eat lunch every day, and school lunch isn't even included with the already expensive tuition. Senior: I have attended Gulliver for years and they run an amazing educational system. All the students create great, professional relationships with their teachers and it really helps the learning process. Their Theatre department is outstanding. Alum: The one thing I love about North Broward is their ability to accommodate each individual student’s interests and needs. The curriculum is highly flexible and caters to every type of student. The arts program was one of my favorite parts about the school. The fine arts faculty helps students balance their artistic interests with their academics. Freshman: St Thomas is a great school and from being in a public school all my life, its clear to see the academics and college prep are excellent. The teachers are also very qualified in their jobs. There are also so many opportunities at STA that you can fit in anywhere and find new experiences you never would’ve thought you’d have. The school also has a mandatory service hour requirement which is easy to fulfill, you just need to get involved on campus. Also if you are a bit concerned about the religious aspect like I was, it really isn’t that prevalent and they do not force it on you if you aren’t religious. The campus is really nice and open, and it isn’t too big either so you won’t get lost. The school spirit is absolutely amazing and the football games really feels like a college game with all the school spirit the students have and it’s super fun to go to the games! Sophomore: Based on my first year at Oxbridge, I would definitely recommend attending. It is a tight-knit community with the kindest, most helpful teachers, has a great environment, and tasty school lunch😊. I don’t think anyone has a problem fitting in at Oxbridge everyone has there little groups and the only thing kids dislike is the slightly challenging academics.
