Parent: Our daughter always did very well in public school but she often found herself board and unenthusiastic about school. Since switching to Augusta Prep, our daughter LOVES going to school. She finds it an engaging and academically stimulating environment where she is challenged and encouraged to think for herself. Her teachers have all been very loving and her classmates are all inclusive and kind. I have been very impressed how the school encourages children to take responsibility for their education and offer positive rewards when goals are met. Works Here: Westminster is truly the best place I've ever worked! The faculty & staff are so genuine and caring and make it a place I love to come each and every day. Senior: I switched from public middle school to private school for the 8th grade. I was only planning on staying at Mead Hall to finish out middle school but I loved it so much that I wanted to stay for high school. The small classroom size has allowed me to become really close with some of my teachers. The small grade size allows for closer friendships. Our college counselor has been amazing in preparing me for college next year. Over my four years in high school, she had come to me about better preparing me for college. The food is amazing. Our lunch ladies are the sweetest people and they know you by name. The food is homecooked meals that are absolutely delicious. Junior: This is my sixth year at Augusta Christian. My favorite thing about Augusta Christian is that the school has amazing teachers. Almost every teacher I have had cares deeply about their students. The teachers teach their students, but they also mentor their students. I also like most of my classes. Augusta Christian is a small school that does not offer many AP classes, but I have enjoyed all of the AP classes that I have taken. I recently took two AP exams and I felt very prepared for them. My teachers taught me what to expect and I am confident that I did well. One of the things I would like to change at my school is our buildings. They recently built a new building for middle school, but the high school buildings need to be updated. Senior: Aquinas is such an amazing school! As a student, my time at Aquinas has had a tremendous impact on me. My classes are academically rigorous, and I feel prepared for college. The teachers are the absolute best! They always offer their time to help outside of class, and they genuinely care about us students. That’s one of the many advantages of being at a small school. Senior: I have been going to this ecumenical school for 13 years and the sports program GAPPS is amazing. Alleluia is a small school with 38 high schoolers, a good decent size middle school and elementary school. This school was owned by Richmond county schools system and then trying to get the school to a modern school and so they couldn't and they schedule to demolish the building and they gave the Alleluia Community the first bid. The school came with gymnasium. That was 30 years ago. So now the classrooms are updated, air condition in the gymnasium, auditorium, cafeteria, bathrooms updated, electronics updated, and the sound system is remarkable in the buildings. Junior: I've been here since freshman year. Our school is very religious, you can see that from the name. The high schoolers and the middle schoolers go to Chapel on Wednesdays. We are required to dress up in a school shirt or dress like we are in church. The academics here are amazing and it has really helped me get far. I must admit when I first got here, I felt scared and out of place because I knew nothing about the Bible, and quite frankly I wasn't even a Christian! But as I got used to the atmosphere, I realized the loving environment here at our school. I've made very good friends here the teachers are so supportive and so nice. You can feel the love from everyone. In sports, you'll always have amazing coaches. I'm in Air Rifle, and I just started Basketball and plan to start Softball soon. Parent: I absolutely LOVE ICCS!! My son entered kindergarten with a diagnosis of autism and speech delay. It is unbelievable how much he has blossomed and the amount of progress he has made since the start of the school year. I was nervous and had a ton of anxiety at the idea of my son starting school. However, those feelings quickly subsided and I owe that credit to the administration and faculty at ICCS. They are AMAZING!! The rapport they’ve established, as well as the mutual respect between the students, parents, administration, faculty and staff is exceptional.
