Junior: Greenhills School is an amazing place. Everyone is extremely helpful. You make friends super easily. The school is averaged around 100 people per grade. Not small, but also big enough that you will see new faces. Greenhills is a middle school-high school combo. While middle schoolers don't usually interact with high schoolers, most high schoolers know at least one middle schooler. There are so many clubs, it's hard not to find one you'll like. And if you actually can't find your club, you can make your own, as long as you have a faculty sponsor. I can't express how much I love this school. The joke is everything here is amazing, just watch out during lunch ;)... Read 57 reviews

Parent: After a few months of online schooling and many tears, we were desperate to find an in-person alternative to the anxiety inducing situation we were in. Our 9 year old son and almost 5 year old daughter have been attending the lower school since January and we are extremely pleased and feel so fortunate to have landed there. Our sensitive son’s anxiety level has been lowered significantly, and he really responds to the learning style there. He is thrilled to be learning cursive and German and knitting, and also seems to really appreciate the extra outdoor time and learning about nature and Native American stories in addition to his times tables and long division. Our nearly 5 year old daughter’s imagination is put to great use every day and she has also become quite the little finger knitter! The environment is nurturing and thoughtful. They have done an incredible job keeping everyone safe during Covid. And their communication is the tops.... Read 15 reviews

Parent: All community members from Blue Ridge School are nice. Blue Ridge School activities, particularly the ROPEs Trip every year, can push students limit. Faculty members are friendly to motivate student on academic subjects. School offers a variety of off-campus activities to fully maximize students' experience. School efforts to build the campus with Safe, Community and Inclusive culture is attractive to both students and their family. Last but not the least, Blue Ridge School has a very very nice campus for students studying and living there.... Read 68 reviews

Senior: Father Gabriel Richard has provided me with a fantastic atmosphere where through interaction with my peers and teachers, I feel fully prepared to begin my collegiate education in the upcoming year. Most of the teachers are more than accommodating to any curve balls life may throw at students, and have their doors open and ears ready to take on any burden the students may feel, yet this is a two way street. As a student in Richard you must try to form these relationships and right any wrongs you face, and not expect them to be automatically changed for you, through close partnership with student council students voices are heard, and if a student feels as if they are not, the simply must speak louder. As previously addressed in other reviews, yes FGR is a catholic school, meaning they follow catholic morals which all of the students may not agree with, but must acknowledge that this is where they have chosen to receive their education, overall this is a fantastic school!... Parent: We are very grateful for the changes that have been made over the past two years at WCA. The school has improved in every area. We have always loved the teachers and the community, but the school board and the administration have made it a priority to make sweeping changes that resulted in financial responsibility and sustainability and an even better education with new programs and opportunities for our children. We are excited to be a part of the WCA family!... Read 34 reviews

Parent: After three years, we continue to say that we love this school! The teachers make an effort to really understand our kids and their learning styles and approaches. The teachers are also able to work with our kids in recognizing their interests but encouraging them to try new things. Yes, the small class size allows this type of interaction and, yes, we do have to pay tuition. But if your child is neurodiverse and differently wired, they will be at home here. Families are from many different socioeconomics and educational backgrounds. It is not elitist. The culture is one of respect and kindness.... Read 15 reviews

Parent: We have been spoiled by SK! Our child is thriving academically and socially thanks to their teaching philosophy and caring/proactive staff. The teachers focus their lessons on what the students are most interested in and blend all academic subjects centered around that topic to bring a truly holistic lesson plan together (reading, math, science, social studies, art, etc.). With the small class sizes they are able to focus individually on kids and meet them where they are at academically. It is also a very nurturing environment focused on empowering the students to think independently and take action on topics that are of importance to them.... Read 12 reviews

Parent: I am so grateful for this school. When my oldest son was finishing up kindergarten in another state, his teacher's one recommendation was to put him in a smaller school. Well, we found the right school in Ann Arbor Christian school. He made instant friends. He receives a lot of encouragement from teachers and peers. I am sometimes incredulous at the welcoming and positive environment, especially in places I don't expect it such as the middle school students being so genuinely friendly with our children. We were looking for a school that would give our children continuity between home and school and we found it. The Bible teaching we engage in at home is supported at school. The academics are rigorous without being too stressful.... Read 1 review

Alum: I came to Go Like the Wind when I was in first grade from another Montessori school, and finished the program through eighth grade. My time spent there was very rewarding and gave me skill sets that I use now and will into my future. I was able to grow as an individual while making very close relationships with my classmates. Even though there was a lot of work, I was able to build necessary time management skills needed no matter where I go in life. In upper elementary and middle school I learned to work closely with a group, sometimes it would be a good group and other times, it would be difficult to get the project done. My mom informed me that dealing with those situations is no different than what she deals with at her work. I feel that I was blessed to attend Go Like the Wind, I had the best learning experience and the greatest teachers!... Read 4 reviews

Alum: Top notch faculty and administration, and a great appreciation for global international thinking and performance. The school emphasizes the importance of independent thinking and expression, while still maintaining a strong sense of community. Veritas allowed me to grow into the person I am today. It put me in challenging situations that have benefitted me overall and put me on the path to success. One of my most unique experiences: while at Veritas, I had an opportunity to study abroad at the campus in Beijing. What an experience! I highly recommend my alma mater. #alwaysaspartan... Freshman: Prep is an amazing school and gives an educational, athletic, and social experience of a lifetime. It is very challenging but all the teachers are there for you and the school gives you so many resources to succeed. The reason I did not give it 5/5 stars is for two reason : a mediocre science department and the fact that it is all-boys. Not having girls around is pretty rough. The school has an amazing buffet-style lunch and we have champ titles in almost all of our sports. Our dorms need improvement, but at the moment we are building a new boarding facility!...
