Senior: Having gone to Lopez since sophomore year as a new transfer student coming from out of State, the administration made a significant effort to help new students like me become accustomed to the academics and student body of the school. The students there are helpful and friendly and I soon got to know many of them through the various rigorous Advanced Placement courses that I had taken. In addition, the school offered many clubs of differing interest that I have been able to join and work with expanding my areas of potential interest and helping deepen my knowledge of my topics of study. With College approaching the school guidance counselors were extremely helpful in healthy me through the complex application process of college and have helped save countless hours of stress and mishaps that would have occurred without overall. Senior: Going to Calvary Christian academy, is one of the best decisions my mother made for me. When I first started I was very shy, I really wasn’t interested in going to school, because I was always bullied at my last school . This school inspired me to do my best at everything I do and love myself. I learn with God I can do anything. I join cheer, softball and the basketball team. Alum: My experience at Ubic academy was a tremendous impacted! The people and the staff there were wonderful!I learned a lot at this school being I came to this school because of a mentally and emotionally abusive relationship. Being that God should be our top priority this school definitely accomplished that goal. I learned so much at this school and I even accomplished a lot of goals while being there. I had the chance to graduate a year early, but I stayed the extra year to not only get the bright future scholarship but to play another year of sports. While staying the extra year I finished first in my graduating class and I got valedictorian. Middle School Student: There is a great sense of community and involvement within the school in so many aspects! I am a PTA parent, coach sports, and am a homeroom parent. I love how much I can do for my son and his school. My son is in the honors program and is challenged on multiple levels that are preparing him not only for college, but for the real world. The honors students are held to a high standard and they help them to deliver and achieve the goals that are set for them. The teachers truly care about the students as individuals. They are not just bodies in seats or numbers. There have been a few instances when students were given outside projects to keep them on their toes. (This was requested!) My son has made more than a few friends since joining the school in 3rd grade. I can really see them being lifelong friends, too. We were welcomed from day one and made to feel comfortable. Parent: My kids absolutely love this school. Since it’s a small school the classroom sizes are great, the teacher are able to give each kid the individual time and attention they need. I also love how nice and friendly all of the teachers and staff are. Only change I would wish for the school would be an indoor gym for the students. The weather can be very extreme in terms of how hot it gets sometimes. I wish the students had an indoor gym that they could utilize aside from going into the cafeteria. I would also like to see more after school clubs at the school.
