Middle School Student: I am a student at this school. The school's interior is quite nice. The classrooms are fairly nice. Most teachers are very kind. Some trachers are more strict than others, but this can be seen as either a plus or minus. Sometimes there is a bit of a problem with bugs getting into the school, but never anything too serious. The Core Four subjects are well taught, and there are two spots for electives. The options for electives are a rotation of FACS, art, music, and a language, choir, band, or PE. One spot that would have normally been an elective is taken up by a mandatory Theology class on Catholicism. Once per week, the whole school congregates in the largest gym for Mass. The parents of students are often very involved in their children's lives. The arts and music gets less funding and that is fairly obvious, but these sections are great nevertheless. Senior: I have gone to Faith Christian school since kindergarten. This school has poured so much into me and i have appreciated it so much. We pray in every class to start out the class which has been impactful. The chapels and the teachers and administration have influenced and help me in my relationship with Christ. The amount the teachers get on a personal level with you is insane and amazing cause they actually care about you, your relationship with Christ and your education. You cant find many schools with those kind of teachers. Education alone has been top notch all of the years. They successfully prepare us for college and academics are the second most important right behind Christ. They also open up s many oppertuities through he different programs they have to be a part of the greater Lafayette community and working and learning in Lafayette has been super impactful and special to me cause they gave me a chance to have relationships with owners of places in Lafayette.... Parent: We absolutely love St. James! The teachers, faculty, and staff take the time to build relationships not only with the students but their families as well. Once you are at St. James, you’re a member of the family! Our children started in the Early Childhood program and have developed strong bonds with their classmates as well as their teachers. The activities they provide focus on growing the whole child. The focus on play and outdoor play specifically is wonderful to see. Parent: We are a fairly new family to the Lafayette Community. The St. Lawrence Elementary School staff has been so welcoming and helpful with our transition. They also helped our children adjust to returning to a school setting after 2 years of being homeschooled. One year later, we now feel like one big family with the St. Lawrence School Community. We truly believe that this school played a big role in helping our children adapted to all the changes as well as they did, including the ability to make friends easily. Alum: Attended St. Boniface for 8 years, grades 1-8 then. Class size all 8 years between 30 and 34 students. I had 6 different nuns, 2 of them twice in different grades. Had playground room to play sports every day. Great young coach names John Eberle, who coached at Central Catholic, coached our basketball and baseball teams. Freshman: I like it because it is self paced! You can take your time. I love how there are so many people there to help you and so many resources. As a student at Purdue global, I can gladly say that I learn so much at my school. My courses teach me valuable skills and important information that I know I will use throughout my career in the future. Another pro about this school is that the teachers are always down to help you with whatever you are struggling with! They will help you no matter what.
