Senior: I have been a student at Vandebilt Catholic High School since I was in eighth grade. I have learned so much these past four years! The education that one receives here is outstanding! It is geared to prep students for college and life in general. I feel that the teachers and staff truly care for us all! The religion department is the best part! Not only do you learn more about the Catholic faith, but you learn about other religions as well. I can also say confidently that my years at Vandebilt have greatly benefited my writing and debating skills! I honestly can say that I can’t picture myself at any other school!

Senior: Houma Christian School is an amazing school, in which the students can freely interact and learn with their peers and teachers. Of course, you may be restricted in some things that you do, but rules are rules for a reason. I often find the school to be a great place where the teachers tend to notice the small things and check on students from time-to-time. Although the school is small, its size is a good thing. The walk between classes are not nearly as big of a margin as it would be with other schools, and it is quite easy to navigate throughout the entire school. The teachers also take the time out of their lessons to make sure each student understands what is being taught.

Parent: As a parent of a former graduate of Covenant Christian Academy, I feel that this school did prepare my daughter for college. My daughter earned a high ACT score, and is very successful and responsible as a sophomore in college now. CCA allowed her to get involved in so many organizations and sports. She thrived and was successful in high school.
I love CCA! Great job teachers! You have provided a wonderful education in a loving environment.

Parent: My daughter is currently in 4th grade at St. Bernadette and this is our 7th year (we started in PreK-3). I couldn’t have asked for a better learning environment, all of the teachers, administrators, and staff truly care about each and every child. I love that our children are offered a different enrichment each day of the week (music, library, computer, PE, and Spanish).

Parent: I was living in Alaska and preparing to move to Louisiana and was searching for private schools online. St. Matthew's Episcopal School offers small class sizes (20 students) and only one or two classes per grade. While the tuition is one of the highest, it is all-inclusive with the exceptions of lunch, uniforms, and school bags. Pre-k thru 4th grade all use a monogrammed bag and the school offers a cheap used uniform shop. The school personnel is willing to work with parents, especially single parents, on many issues.

Parent: This is our family’s first year at NCS as our daughter started 6th grade this past fall. While the pandemic has limited in-person gatherings, we were engaged throughout the summer with online gatherings with new and current families; have been supported by welcoming buddy families; and continue to be pleased by reimagined community traditions. Our daughter has made precious friends (and in turn connected us parents) and often spontaneously declares “I’m really happy here at NCS”. She has had wonderful and impactful touch points with her teachers and other members of the community. As parents hoping for the right “fit” in a new school community, we couldn’t be happier for her and our family.
