Liberty Classical Academy
Senior: The Garden School (now Liberty Classical Academy) is a private University-Model School. It runs three days a week and assigns work to be completed on the remaining two days of the school week. The curriculum focuses on on of the four parts of the flow of western history every year : Antiquities, Christendom, Americas, and Modernity. This cycle is repeated every four years, so students who begin at Liberty in first grade will learn about each time period three times, first in elementary school, then once middle school, and then high school. This provides a multilayered view of history that challenges students like myself to engage with various texts from the time period being studied and begin to use the process of rhetoric to ask questions about ideas that have been built upon since first grade.
