    Parent: We are thrilled with our experience at Mount. We have a daughter who is a current junior and next year, our younger daughter will attend as a freshman. Our daughter has had the chance to grow and learn in an environment that is academically challenging, while warm and nurturing. We truly love that the Mercy Core Values are integrated into each day, developing young women to have strong character. The Mount's faculty and staff are TOP NOTCH. I feel like they all want the best for each girl. They are encouraging and supportive, while still pushing the girls to perform at their personal best level. The school offers so many amazing outlets for the girls in addition to academics: sports, clubs, theater, art, chorus, band, Euro/Fed challenge, Forensics, and much more. We are so happy to be a part of this phenomenal community!

    Senior: I had a great experience at Bergen Catholic High School. The environment was surreal, with an incomparable culture and energy. After finishing my fourth year at the school, I seriously do believe that these 4 years would not have left me as satisfied at any other school, public or private for that matter. Though the school was amazing, nothing is perfect and there were some flaws in the system. If I had the opportunity to change one thing about the school, it would definitely be the food in the cafeteria. The kitchen could use some fix-ups in food. The overall adventure has been an unbelievable one that I will never forget.

    Parent: My children span all 3 divisions of the school (LS, MS, HS) and at each stage in their development this school has given them everything they need and everything we expect from an academic partner. The school is small enough that each child's needs are considered, and, as they grow, each student can find a platform to explore interests and have leadership opportunities, but large enough that they are afforded the programmatic richness of a large school. I am grateful to have found an institution that places as high a priority on academic excellence as it does on creating good people with a strong religious identity, which is priority for my family. I look forward to continuing to watch my kids blossom here.

    Parent: My son graduated from SRDS last year and is at the Gabelli Business School at Fordham University and doing exceptionally well. He was an actively involved student who thrived and did very well academically, but more importantly, he is a good kid who was supported and encouraged by an incredibly caring faculty and staff! There were always consequences for not doing "the right thing" in or out of the classroom, so it makes me sad to see people who say it is like a "country club" and there are "favorites" because it is just not true! No place is perfect, but most of the kids who want to succeed take full advantage of everything the school has to offer. The kids that don't engage may have a different experience but that isn't the "normal" experience for most of the students there. And the college counseling is outstanding and acceptances have been VERY good in recent years, especially the Class of 2019. I am grateful to SRDS for preparing my son for college and what lies ahead.

I moved to NJ because of this school, students receive excellent scholarships to colleges on average over $100,000 per student. # 1 SAT Performance among private and public schools. My 9th grader is taking an AP US History with a former Harvard U. professor. Students feel valued, and teachers are dedicated. Teachers stay after school to help students advance. Students love attending the school, and there is a direct correlation to their academic success. Healthy competition and high sense of pride and achievement are clearly evident in the hallways. The school's English teacher, Harvard grad takes time after school to take students: ice skating in Manhattan (35 min away), rock climbing to build teamwork, Ivy Schools college trips. It instills confidence & leadership. Every minute of the class time is productive.

    Senior: St. Peter's is without a doubt one of the best high school educations you can receive in New Jersey. In terms of academics, I've only had a problem with one teacher and every class I've been in has been both fun and fulfilling. The students are kind and helpful and it's easy to find a friend group full of people you never would've met without coming to Prep. The only lacking thing about Prep is its cafeteria, but that doesn't even matter since it's location and a very safe part of Jersey City means that students have access to places with much better food. Overall, Prep is an amazing school that will help prepare you for college and life after college.

    Junior: Villa is by far the best school I’ve ever been in! The classes and grades are small so you and your teachers can really get to know each other and it’s easy to get help. We even have peer tutoring which is a plus. Everyone just wants to help you become your best person and succeed in college and life. All of the girls here are incredibly supportive and kind overall which is unique for a high school as far as I know. I’m even friends with most of my grade which is 17 students. They’ve made me a better person and I can honestly say I’m happy with where I am now.
    Our school run clubs are all based on serving the community and/or strengthening our talents or religious lives. Our sports teams are hardworking and dedicated, but still keep their grades up. Our school plays and performances are simply breathtaking because of all of the time and effort that are put into them.

I’m actively involved in many of the clubs and academic teams so I get a great sense of all the aspects Saint Joes has to offer. Occasionally, you may encounter a bad teacher here and there but there is more to Saint Joes than just the teachers. It is a lifestyle and you should totally check out our “Freshmen For A Day” program to check out what a day is like at Saint Joes!

    Senior: CBA was a great experience, but you have to know what you're getting yourself into here. The culture of the school revolves around sports, as you'd expect; but sports are prioritized so heavily that pretty much everything else falls to the wayside. Occasionally, this includes education. The school's also not as "connected" and "brotherly" as they'd like you to believe, and it has a tendency to create new, absurd rules (such as banning all electronics in the cafeteria) in order to make it look like they're different, unique, and challenging. If you don't mind the occasional crummy teacher, heavy focus on athletics, and absurd tuition, then CBA is for you. (Also, if you have any interest in the arts at all, join Pegasus Productions. It's what got me through.)

    Alum: IHA offers the ideal high school educational and social environment. The teachers and administrators work continuously updating academic curriculum, athletic programs, and of course, the facilities are second to none!
    I loved every day I went to school at IHA. I have since graduated with a BS and Masters degree in special education. I was completely prepared academically socially and morally for the rigor and challenges of college and the work place. IHA taught me organization and accountability in an environment allowing me to reach my potential academically morally and socially. I had a wonderful high school experience at IHA I can't imagine a better place for a young woman to be educated.

    Parent: Our son is smart, but not driven. He needed motivation to push him to achieve. He received excellent counseling, guidance, and academic help from the teachers and staff at St. A. Prep. We believe that, because he was neither a “brilliant” nor a “troubled” student, he would have fallen through the cracks at our local public school. Most of his teachers have been great. Some have been truly exceptional. The counselors and academic staff have been priceless.
    He loves his school. Bullying at St. A is non exsistant, and all the boys support and look out for one another. It might sound corny, but they truly treat each other as brothers. He is only a sophomore, but I know the next few years will be just as great!

    Alum: The administration and extra-curricular aspects of the school are truly what make it shine. Every student and administrator put a lot of effort into those extra activities which allow the students to reap tremendous benefits from their participation on an academic or athletic team. In addition, the college guidance department was extremely helpful in guiding students, I among them, to the colleges best suited to their abilities. On a more negative note, the academics can be made better, specifically in the science department, but they are overall passable and give the students a good enough basis to transition into college and further education.

    Parent: DBP provides an excellent academic, social, athletic and moral environment. There are many programs that focus on community service and helping others. Compared to many schools in the area, the DBP student body is more diverse economically and racially. The teachers are caring and always there for the students. The layout of the campus provides a college-like atmosphere. Most importantly, there is a camaraderie among the students that is unmatched in other neighboring schools. Notwithstanding the differences in personalities or abilities, the boys view their classmates as their brothers...as family. The students leave DBP very prepared for college life.

    Niche User: I gave it 4 stars because the school tries very very hard to be the best they can be. The teachers care ab the students a lot! Some students actually have a good relationship with the teachers. It may not be the best school just because they don’t have all the money in the world like public schools. The teachers there sacrifice a lot to teach their. The atmosphere is very nice. Everyone is always trying to make friends and such. Groups are very welcoming at this school. They don’t have to many clubs at the moment but they r working on it, so it will get better. The academics are very very good there. Timothy isn’t perfect but no school is but it tries very hard to do everything for Christ!

    Parent: We had used the threat of sending our daughter to all girls school as incentive to boost her grades. She was bright, but far too easily distracted by her phone and social drama. Then, three months into her sophomore year, she asked to transfer to AoSE; she was as overwhelmed by the social and academic pressures of our high school as we were underwhelmed by her GPA.

    AoSE has proven one of the greatest gifts we’ve given our daughter.

    She benefited immediately: her stress level dropped, her grades soared and she became the engaged daughter we’d missed at home. She embraced sports, joined clubs and made great new friends. The uniform also made mornings much easier!

    Our daughter is graduating a member of the National Honor Society and going to a college that wouldn’t have been a realistic reach before she transferred. At AoSE she blossomed into the well-rounded, confident young woman we hoped she’d become, given the right environment. AoSE is that environment.

    Senior: For the majority of my middle school years, I had my doubts about the school. I had low expectations for what was to come throughout my high-school years. I didn't know if I wanted to stay. Little did I know that deciding to remain a Noble Student proved to be a beneficial factor in high-school. The school community can be held responsible for that praise. The teachers genuinely want the students to perform better academically. I believe that this is overlooked by many. Finding a school with teachers who actually put an effort into aiding their students is a rarity. The school has definitely played a big role in determining my academic excellence. Graduating out of NLA with a good education is a guarantee, no matter what career you intend to pursue. Now that I am only a couple months away from graduating, I can admit that attending it was definitely a privilege.

It is a peaceful family style landscape that prioritizes faith, academics, and character building with a TRULY diverse population of students. The staff is warm and caring with excellent credentials (Masters and PhDs abound). Students find their voice, and leave confident in their abilities, secure in their friendships, and with a wide variety of acceptances from the schools that they apply to when graduating. Most of them leave with offers of generous academics scholarships and aid. This is exactly what you would want to provide your child in this busy and often far too mature society that they are growing up in. Lacordaire gives them the calm, caring, good values type of school experience that allows them to become their best selves. I only wish that I could have attended a school like Lacordaire, but I am happy that at least I can provide that for my child.

    Alum: My four years at the Mount transformed me as a person. I created valuable and long-lasting bonds with classmates. The all-girls aspect of the school is very empowering, liberating, and inspires creativity. I don’t think I would have been as able to grow as a person if it wasn't for this all-girls environment (even though I was hesitant at first). I also found that the teachers were very accommodating and willing to help with anything I needed. I participated in many clubs and activities that also enriched my experience there and allowed me to be more involved in the community. At the end of my four years there, I felt very prepared for college. More recently, the Mount is undergoing many exciting changes that I feel will be very beneficial to the school and the student body.

    Middle School Student: Newark Academy is an amazing school! Everyone is so nice and open and everyone has a group to associate with. The academics give opportunities to people who want to excel past their level and all of the teachers are very friendly and willing to help.
