Sophomore: I have truly enjoyed my experience at Archmere Academy. Coming from a large public middle school, to a small, Catholic school was a big transition for me. I love the academic opportunities at the school. Not only can I challenge myself and find classes that interest me, I also have teachers who are passionate about what they teach and are always willing to help students understand via one-on-one time, questions in class, or new lessons. I personally enjoy the arts program and the athletics program; both showcase the talent of the students and allows students to channel their energies. Parent: We absolutely love Tatnall! These kids are getting a well-rounded education. There are so many courses for them to choose from. The math and science departments are top-notch. The art department is widely heralded, and the choral department is led by a Grammy-winning artist. There are also a large variety of clubs to choose from, something for everybody. Zero tolerance for bullying. Tatnall has safety drills and a campus that is near major thoroughfares, yet off the beaten path reassuring me that my child is safe. This is a fantastic K-12 school. I had two kids here and the faculty and staff are truly amazing across the board and a couple that are truly spectacular. Alum: Salesianum has a name to uphold. So do the students there. They like to use the phrase,"you students are standing on the shoulders of giants," and they are correct. But what goes largely unnoticed is that many of the students themselves are already well on their way to growing to sizes of larger proportions while being supported by each other and the amazing faculty at the school. I honestly really did not want to go to Sallies when picking out high schools, but with parents like mine, I never had the freedom to choose. Yet some how I come to be satisfied with the decision that was made. The athletics are top notch, musical productions never disappointed, there was always an activity to take part in or game to be played. The academics were great not just because of the entire extremely competent teachers, but also because of the many bright young individuals working their hardest. Sophomore: Ursuline is a fantastic community full of amazing teachers, staff, and students. I have attended Ursuline since I was in kindergarden, and I am privileged to be a part of such a wonderful school! The classes are extremely immersive and the teachers are very supportive and able to offer one on one attention and guidance when needed. The classes are all focused on increasing confidence and leadership skills, while also challenging you to push yourself to learn on new levels. The sisterhood at Ursuline is also an incredible thing to experience. All of the girls are so kind and welcoming, and it truly makes you feel so accepted and connected to everyone. Junior: I've had good and bad experiences at Caravel Academy. The bad ones mostly being caused by other students but the good ones being because the school is a good school. The school has really good sports and we win championships almost every year. Basically everyone that goes to the school is an athlete which keeps the culture of being a sports school intact. But, some of the kids that go here aren't the best. A lot of them are spoiled rich kids that think they are better than other people for no reason. Parent: Our teen started at Saint Mark's as a Freshmen this year. Despite the pandemic, it has been a smooth transition academically. The faculty and staff truly care about the students. This is evident in the level of communication between both student-teacher and parent-teacher. There are many ways to get involved beyond the classroom- sports, clubs, performing arts. Safety has been a top priority especially due to COVID. Students' emotional well-being has also been a priority. Senior: There are many things to be said for Saint Elizabeth High School. The small environment allows for a close, familial feel, and I can say I know everyone in my graduating class. It also offers a good range of programs, sports, and classes. There is also an ease in connect with teachers and communicating issues with administrative staff. Nearly all teachers respond to emails quickly. I would not change much about the school, but I would’ve liked more AP classes, along with teachers who are more comfortable with the subject matter he or she is teaching. Niche User: My 2 grandchildren attend Concord Christian Academy. They started in K4 and the oldest is now in 3rd grade. I have felt blessed since day one when were leaving and the school secretary said a sweet goodbye to my granddaughter and used her name. I was impressed! I thank God every day for this school. The teachers are all very caring and go above and beyond to make sure the students succeed. They are available to us anytime via text, phone or in person. Any issues or problems are handled right away. It's very diverse and like a family. Our 2nd and 3rd grader are learning things their 4th grade friend is not taught in public school. Nothing but positive things to say and feel about CCA. Also for a school this size there are good sports, art, computer, gym, music and language classes for all! Alum: Delaware Valley Classical School allows students to achieve academically as well as spiritually. The intertwining of Christ in every subject allows for students to ask deeper questions about Christianity which helps students strengthen their faith. The staff and administration exceed the roles of their job by providing unconditional love for the students. But the best part of DVCS is the community. I have never seen such a strong, close-knit community of believers. The moment you become a part of DVCS you are family. No matter who you are you are seen and loved.
